Description
危険物取扱者とは、消防法で規定された危険物を取り扱うのに必要な国家資格です。乙4の問題は、危険物に関する法令（15問）物理学および化学 （10問）危険物の性質とその火災予防および消火の方法 （10問）の3科目です。
試験時間は2時間半で、この3つの科目のうち、ひとつでも正解率が6割を下回ったら不合格になります。すでに乙種の他の類を取っているという方は、危険物に関する法令と、物理及び化学の2科目が免除になり、試験時間は35分に短縮されます。
危険物乙4の難易度について、国家試験の中には応用力が試されたり、引っ掛け問題で苦戦する場合がありますが、危険物乙4の試験は、試験範囲をまんべんなく勉強していれば、問題なく合格できるレベルです。
また、危険物取扱者の試験は合格定員はありませんから、足切点もありません。上記記載の３科目をまんべんなく6割以上とれば必ず合格できます。
車のハイブリッド化や電気自動車によってGSの数は年々減少しています。しかし、危険物取扱者乙種第四類を必要としているのはGSだけでなく灯油をはじめとする可燃性液体の配達販売にも必要なため、有資格者が不要となることはありません。
また、工場や大型施設では大量の燃料を貯蔵、使用しています。一定の数量以上を扱う場合は有資格者が取り扱わなければならず、保安監督者も定めなければなりません。他にも自動車整備工場、修理工場、カー用品店、塗装屋、印刷関係、ビル管理の仕事等でも必要とされています。
車関係ならば整備士資格、ビル管理ならばボイラー技士や電気工事士などの資格と共に有していれば、就職にも有利となります。
