A Timegrapher

This app is to measure the BPH(Beats per hour) of mechanical watches.
It will display time error per day as well.

The app uses microphone to measure BPH.

** Recommend to plug a microphone into phone and attach the microphone to the back of your watch.
** Basic version display wave graph and pulse interval histogram.
** Frequency display requires 'Premium' upgrade.

** Please test the app with your watch before you purchase 'Premium' upgrade. The app will work as Premium during 30 min.

Not for digital clocks.
Not working in noisy environment.
Set microphone direction toward a clock.

FAQ.
1) in the settings there is a sensitivity option with a high, medium, low and 3 manual settings, can you explain how this changes the results

It determines sound amplitude threshold for detecting clock sound. If your clock sound is loud you may reduce sensitivity. This will allow more environmental noises.
If you increase the sensitive, you may measure hand watches. But small noise may measurement errors.

2) why does the detected frequency change between light grey, black and red
Red means smaller drift during the measurement interval while grey means that measurement may have an error.

3) the average frequency does not always calculate, it stays at NaN
The 'detected frequency' should be red continuously.

4) how do you calculate the pulse drift %
abs(max detected frequency - min detected frequency) / detected frequency during 1 detection cycle.

5) what are the 2 graphs showing and what data are you using for the calculations
The size of bars in the upper graph should be almost the same.
The bottom shows amplitude of sound wave recorded from micro phone.

6) are newer versions of the app being developed

4 ★I need the app to time the timing,mechanism in a grandfather clock. it is quite different from a watch as watches run faster times. I am no clock master but I know there is one for apple that does a good job. I only use Android smart devices.

5 ★Great. installed on a Huawei p20 pro. just place the phone near the watch movement in a reasonably quiet but not silent environment and it does the rest. very useful for a quick check without the need to use timegrapher. very impressed.

5 ★Works exceptionally. I expected that it would need a special mic to work but it manages to capture data from the built in mic! Unbelievable!

2 ★It's ok. Not super accurate. It seems to only land on the figures -5 / 0 / +5 when you get close to 0. Never shows 1,2,3 or 4. Probably shouldn't have purchased if I'm honest.

1 ★Don't bother. Unless you use it immediately, all digital data is locked out. I downloaded it one night, but by the time I had a chance to test drive, it wants me to upgrade to premium. I didn't even get a chance to see if it works on pendulum clocks.

1 ★One time, without paying? Really? I launched the app 1x briefly to see what parameters I could view and if it detected my watch. I came back the next day and nothing but a prompt to buy the full version. App store ad says 30 min (?)

5 ★Great bit of kit..I've found it to be invaluable and convenient as far as a quick reference on watch frequency,easy to use & understand, a thumbs up.

1 ★Worked ok but by the time I got to a quiet place to try it properly an hour later it disabled itself and asked my to buy the pro version. I didn't realise this was just a temporary trial!

1 ★Just like the other people said it only gives you a free trial. Maybe if you had this for free and maybe had other premium functions you have to pay for more people might be downloading your app.

2 ★Gave me a range of readings from -31 sec/day to +7 , so, no use at all. The watch timed over 24 hours really gained 10 sec , against a digital clock ,so not even worth the free trial , let alone the 5 quid to buy the piece of junk,
