Description

Bark provides families with the tools they need to raise kids in the digital age. Our comprehensive service lets you monitor content, manage screen time, and filter websites so you can get peace of mind while your child is online.

CONTENT MONITORING

Bark monitors your child’s text messages, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps and social media platforms for issues like cyberbullying, suicidal ideation, adult content, sexual predators, profanity, threats of violence, and more. Parents receive alerts only when something potentially problematic occurs online. You won’t have full access to everything on your child’s phone — just the things you might need to know about.

SCREEN TIME MANAGEMENT

Families can set healthy time limits and create schedules for when their children’s devices can connect to the internet (through both cell service and Wi-Fi).

WEB FILTERING

Our web filter lets you select which websites your child can access on their devices. You can allow or block specific sites — or even whole categories like streaming services, online gaming, sexual content, and more.

BARK HOME

When you purchase Bark Home, a small device sold separately that connects to your Wi-Fi router, you can use our app to manage screen time and filter websites and apps on all of the Wi-Fi-connected devices in your home, from smart TVs and video game consoles to laptops and tablets. Bark Home requires an active Bark subscription.

PRICING

Bark, our comprehensive online safety solution, includes content monitoring, screen time management, and web filtering. Bark is $14/month — or $99 annually.

Bark Jr provides screen time management and web filtering for $5/month or $49 annually.

SETTING UP BARK

After you download the Bark app for parents and guardians, you’ll need to download the Bark for Kids app to your child’s device to enable monitoring, screen time management, and more. Visit www.bark.us/android to install it.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★This is the best app for parents! I have only had it for 24 hours and it has already been so helpful. It helps my kids to make good choices on their own but if they don't they know that I will be alerted. I have spent countless hours looking through my kids phone....that is so exhausting! This app does it all! I'm so thankful to have found Bark. It is worth EVERY penny!! Thank you!!!❤
1 ★Initially thought this app would be great, but it is very pricey and causes your child's phone to block apps and filter content that you have not asked it to. In addition, I have requested to reset my password many times and never received the email to reset. Once I did find the password on my own, now I can not get into account settings to cancel my account. I've entered several help tickets, no luck. There appears to be no one on the help desk. Now stuck with an expensive, unusable app.
5 ★My husband and I love that we can check on our kids quickly and easily without having to skim through hundreds of emails, texts and videos. I feel it is less invasive than skimming everything they write. I also like that I can easily set times when the internet is off so I know they aren't sneaking in extra screen time. We are still trying to figure out how to set it up so it monitors their internet searches, but that is user error, not the app's.
5 ★I love this app. Being a father of seven and all of them but two are in preteen years, this app lets me see what they are watching and who they are connecting with. The hardest part about being a parent is trying not to project your fears onto your kids. This app gives parents an eye view of issues your kids can see. Lastly let me be clear that this app will not fix issues with your child! It is your job as a parent to make clear and wholesome decisions to better your kids, this app just helps.
1 ★Do not pay for this if your child has an iPhone. Constantly fighting bark to keep iPhone connected. Frequently reminds me that it can't monitor this device because phone hasn't been backed up. Can't get phone to backup over wifi, only sometimes able to get phone to by connecting to USB port on computer. More trouble than it's worth. Will not renew this service. Their "dedicated" response team is a joke. Called them and recording said, all agents are busy. Left number and never received call!
1 ★I'm on the trail period and I would really like to keep using the app but I'm already having some issues with it. My son uses whatsapp heavily in order to not use up too much of his calling minutes and BARK keeps on blocking the app which in return doesn't allow him to send out messages or make phone calls. I've tried changing the default settings but it's still not allowing the messages to go through. If this problem was to be fixed, I would absolutely stay on as a member.
5 ★This app is amazing!! Within the first 3 days it alerted me that my 9 year old daughter was receiving messages from an unknown person. Asking for naked pictures, had sent her naked pictures of himself and was talking to her about masturbation. I never would have known without this app alert. I was able to report him to authorities. Absolutely amazing app. I never would have thought she would have responded to someone she didn't know, who knows what would have happened had this continued.
5 ★A great tool for keeping an eye on my kids' online activity. Rather than just blocking everything, it lets us know what they're doing online. We've had some great opportunities to talk with them about appropriate text and email conversations, and how to handle conflict with peers, as well as what sites not to visit.
3 ★Basically tells me my mom can't trust me, so I can't trust her. Don't like the monitoring thing, but if it isn't you, its someone else. Anyway, thanks for letting me know I should distance myself! ❤ Edit: if thats what its intended for, you aint doing very good, you're doing the opposite. I only talk to my mom when nessisary now. Thanks for that :)
2 ★The app does alert me when something is wrong, and thats amazing. But 90% of the time it alerts me for something that doesn't need to be alerted like minecraft videos. I have watched the videos multiple times and nothing is wrong, no bad words, no Sexual content, and no racism. But I still get those alert when the video does not have any of these. Please fix this.
3 ★Hmmm... The apple device is super sluggish now. We can't access our allowable websites at all, including Rated E apps that require internet. This is very frustrating!! Otherwise, it seems like a good concept if when paired with apple, it was a little more user friendly.
1 ★Doesn't support ios and android (snapchat, tiktok)
