Description

Bark provides families with the tools they need to raise kids in the digital age. Our comprehensive service lets you monitor content, manage screen time, and filter websites so you can get peace of mind while your child is online.

CONTENT MONITORING

Bark monitors your child’s text messages, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps and social media platforms for issues like cyberbullying, suicidal ideation, adult content, sexual predators, profanity, threats of violence, and more. Parents receive alerts only when something potentially problematic occurs online. You won’t have full access to everything on your child’s phone — just the things you might need to know about.

SCREEN TIME MANAGEMENT

Families can set healthy time limits and create schedules for when their children’s devices can connect to the internet (through both cell service and Wi-Fi).

WEB FILTERING

Our web filter lets you select which websites your child can access on their devices. You can allow or block specific sites — or even whole categories like streaming services, online gaming, sexual content, and more.

BARK HOME

When you purchase Bark Home, a small device sold separately that connects to your Wi-Fi router, you can use our app to manage screen time and filter websites and apps on all of the Wi-Fi-connected devices in your home, from smart TVs and video game consoles to laptops and tablets. Bark Home requires an active Bark subscription.

PRICING

Bark, our comprehensive online safety solution, includes content monitoring, screen time management, and web filtering. Bark is $14/month — or $99 annually.

Bark Jr provides screen time management and web filtering for $5/month or $49 annually.

SETTING UP BARK

After you download the Bark app for parents and guardians, you’ll need to download the Bark for Kids app to your child’s device to enable monitoring, screen time management, and more. Visit www.bark.us/android to install it.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Extremely frustrating to set up.
1 ★I updated this review. I purchased the Bark phone and within a week, my child was able to log the parental account out on the phone and log in his own Google account. I never received a single notification of this. I will be seeking a refund and cancelling my subscription. Absolutely ridiculous.
1 ★I hate apps like this it only invades the kids privacy and it's crazy that it goes up to monitoring 18(I believe). It only fuels controlling parents to do more stuff. 😡😡😡
3 ★I don't ever leave bad reviews but I am highly frustrated with the latest update of the app. The monitoring and controls are still great but getting to them is a nusiance now because everytime you open the app there is a big ad page, for their phone and watch, that loads and you have to back out of it. It then continues to pop up on each screen you traverse in the app. This needs to be fixed.
1 ★This app worked great at first. Then I just checked my kids messages and another kid was threatening him from school. they even sent him a Pic of the a kid holding a gun. no alert was sent! i am livid! Not worth the cost at all for being THAT unreliable!
1 ★The app is hard to set up. Then it glitches alot. you have go in alot and update things. Then it doesn't monter like it supposed to. And when you go to cancel your account. They want give your money back.
1 ★I don't think this app is safe because it can see all of your data and your kids data and all of your passwords and your kids passwords this app barely even works and AI is a poor choice to replace your bond with your kids Edit: I hear you bark. I still think bark is a little suspicious
1 ★This app is false it lies and is overall a horrible app don't reccomend
1 ★I have the bark phone for my child. While I do love the monitoring of texts/apps, I agree with some other reviewers saying the location doesn't update as quickly as it should. My biggest gripe is the most recent app update. The app is FAR from intuitive & it is difficult to find what I'm looking for quickly.
1 ★it's invading my personal space I no longer trust my mom because of it and I reads all of my groupchats messages so whenever one of my friends text something bad it says it's me it also gave my mom permission to ban all social media it doesn't even let me be a normal kid anymore if you want mutual trust between your child then don't download this app
