1 ★You can't contact or book a sitter without paying the nearly $40 monthly fee. Even worse, they don't inform you of that until after you've set up a profile, posted a job, searched sitters, typed out your message to a sitter, etc. This app has potential, but they need to be more up front about the cost of the service.
5 ★I was very excited to use this app, and help out other parents! Of course with covid funds are a little thin. I was looking for promo codes, which I found many that said they were active, some were of course expired. Based on the reviews I'm reading I would love to have a promo code that actually works, so I can try out the app prior to spending my last. Hopefully I can get one, because I am ecstatic to try this app! Brandy
1 ★According to the app, no one is looking for a babysitter or nanny at all. In my town or the next one over. I have all options on, no restrictions, and availability fully open. So aparently no parents use this around here, which is a disappointment.
5 ★Easy to navigate and set everything up. The application approval takes a while but that'a about it on the negatives so far. I do like that I can browse jobs while my application is pending, so I can see if any jobs would even work for me.
1 ★Still trying to cancel our account after 4 emails & 5 days, and no one has gotten back to us... Booking is clunky & unintuitive (your chosen day & time parameters reset everytime you look at a sitter's profile), you might want to explain an evening to a desired sitter but then have to re-enter for every requested sitter, or send a batch / mass email to all in the entire area (cannot choose a set of desired sitters). Our neighbor said a sitter booked here stole alcohol from her family's house :(
1 ★I'm not sure why there's now a fee to work. The work isn't even consistent enough to afford such a fee. Such a shameful situation to have to pay to work for someone. However while I can understand you're reasoning for trying to maintain your app, your methods of collection are ridiculous. I was under the impression that your fees were covered in other ways (ads). Why couldn't a much smaller fee for the use of your platform be worked out instead of a forced one? I've got to delete my profile now.
1 ★I'm pissed, I paid for the most expensive back ground check in my entire life and they never did it, I called and asked them about it and they said I never even paid for it when my money was taken out of my bank, my profile still hasnt been approved after 3 months, and can not get jobs. this app is garbage and a huge scam. do your self a favor and do not download this app. whoever owns this app should be ashamed of them self
1 ★At first i had to wait a week to get my account verified. Then I had to pay for my membership which I did and it's been over a month when it said I should only have to wait two weeks. I tried calling customer support but they dont really have one. The number is just for the background check company. So now I'm here waiting after I spent money on this app
2 ★Really disappointed about the decision to force sitters to pay for membership--I've been using this app for a while now and really like it, but coming back from vacation and opening this app to find jobs, only to be locked out of my account until I payed and completed a background check... it's extremely frustrating. I payed, but still wont get to work until the check goes through. I understand the impulse to make the site safe, but this is not the way to do it. We need the money.
1 ★This app has the worst customer service. I got no where with finding a sitter that worked for what I needed, and paid a fee to even speak to anyone. I would never recommend this app to anyone! They didnt even try to keep my business. They just threw the word policy at me over and over again!
4 ★For the most part it's great. I got booked pretty quickly after my profile got approved. It did however take an extra long time before jr was approved and I had to email them before they actually got onto it. But it has been pretty nice. I look forward to using it more often in the future!
5 ★we were a tad skeptical because normally family watches our little girl, but decided to try urban sitter. really enjoying it so far. lots of good options for sitters and can use in different locations if traveling. so amazing.
