Benefits of using a sleep tracker and sleep cycle alarm clock / smart alarm
With modern day work schedules, our sleep patterns have become widely irregular and oftentimes much shorter than they should be. PrimeNap's Sleep Tracker can help you analyze your sleeping patterns and correct them if necessary. Using PrimeNap's smart alarm functionality, you can avoid being pulled out of deep sleep by a well-meaning time-based alarm clock, and instead wake up gently after sleep cycle completion and thereby simulate a natural awakening.

How it works: Movement during sleep is known to roughly correlate with the actual sleep stages obtained by polysomniography. This sleep movement is registered by the phone and translated into fairly accurate sleep cycle information.

Recommended use: Use this sleep app with proper hardware. If convenient, switch on airplane/flight mode to minimize any emissions. Reboot or close other apps that might cause the phone to heat up during the night.

Frequently Asked Questions:
* How do you interpret the resulting graph?
- The graph is separated into two sections. The top section shows relative movement over time. Low measured movement will be a valley in the graph, high movement will be a peak in the graph.
The bottom section uses the movement information to calculate a rough estimate of your sleep cycles (numbered on top) and even individual sleep phases during each sleep cycle (Awake, Dreaming (REM), Light Sleep (Non-REM 1,N2), Deep Sleep (N3). The app uses the actual measurement (e.g. long stretches of low movement are likely to be deep sleep), averages (mainly in case of REM) and basic knowledge about sleep cycles (duration approx. 90 minutes) to create a reasonable best-fit hypnogram graph. This is why it will still show sleep cycles if the phone is placed on a desk. The app assumes that the user is actually sleeping.

* How is this going to help improve sleep?
- For most people best sleep is achieved through regular sleeping patterns (similar bedtime) averaging about 8 hours of sleep every day. The app is meant to assist people in finding out their exact sleeping patterns in order to make informed changes. The sleeping times are thus most important, the information shown in the graphs is mainly used by the smart alarm function.

* How do you add your own nap sessions if you forget to track them?
- On the third tab (Nap History) there is a button in the bottom right corner labeled "+1".

* How do you delete nap sessions?
- Click and Hold the nap that you want to delete. Select the corresponding item from the menu that will appear.

* How do you resume a nap session?
- Simply click the sleep button again to start a new nap. The app will automatically know that there have been previous sleep cycles and will continue there. Both sleep sessions will appear in the sleep pattern overview.

* What does the button "Phone off = Sleep" do?
- This is an option for people who turn their phone off during the night. If you turn your phone off completely, the app will count this as going to bed. Turning it back on in the morning is counted as waking up.

* What is "Wake Battery"
- This is a way of displaying the current sleep debt as a battery icon in the status bar. This needs adjustment and always sleep if tired.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

3 ★A decent combination alarm and tracker, but the UI forces you to choose a "wake up" light, which I don't even want. Tracker screen is cluttered with bizarre month/day representation. With a little cleanup, though, and more standard Android widgets this could replace Sleep for Android on my phone.
1 ★Was 5 stars, now my free app, will only record every other night because my 2 week free trial was up?! Which is strange as I have used it faithfully for months, then tells me that if want to continue, I need to pay for it.. Will keep it for the time being, but if deleted if not satisfied!! Poor stuff developer's..
1 ★App keeps shutting down after getting like 5 min of my sleep in. I tried a few days in a row, not sure what's wrong. Obviously I can't remember open the app while I'm sleeping so I never know when it actually turns off. If anyone can help figure this out I'll change my rating. Thanks
4 ★Been using this to track my sleep pattern so far. Good so far. But once in couple of days, the app does not seem to be able to track properly. It does not show the REM, light sleep and deep sleep hours. Maybe your team can do some fine tuning, thank you
4 ★Love this app! It's accurate and reliable, the only problem is it has an unappealing interface. A lot of small things with no explanation and the userface itself is a little clunky. But despite that I love it!
4 ★Really good app i wish there was already daily activities you could select such as ( smoking, drinking, caffeine and others), i would also like to see if you could set the sleep music to play longer or for all night. Other than that its a great app.
3 ★hopeful but confused. I have narcolepsy so I'm trying to track my sleep better. I dont understand the alarm and how to stop it bc there is not enough description about it. it records my sleep and breathing but I dont know how accurate it is for my cycles. it said I had 0 dreams but I remember dreaming. I'll try a few more nights and see if I can figure it out. any feedback would be appreciated.
4 ★Love the app, just wish the tutorial was a bit more in-depth. I'm still having trouble understanding what several buttons do, even after going through the tutorial a second time.
5 ★Free functionality has all the functionality I need. The sleep tracking is on point, compared it after using a fitbit as a sleep tracker simultaneously, and PrimeNap displayed almost the same results (not to mention a more in depth graph). Definitely would recommend, very helpful stats on your sleep.
5 ★Takes a little getting used to but is very helpful! I would be interested in a more graphical layout of sleep patterns over time or some more information on how it tracks deep sleep/rem/light sleep etc
3 ★it has good potential. unfortuately, it seems to not record reliably. trying to find a manual input is not intuitive, its there somewhere, but have to go looking for it.
4 ★This app is pretty good! It helps to show me how much sleep I get at night. I would like an option where you can set a reminder because I tend to forget to use this app when I go to bed sometimes.
