5 ★I had those annoying non-zero unread message counts in various icons and notifications, but no messages I hadn't read! There are many recipes for restarting and uninstalling and reinstalling... Just install this app. It will show you the messages that your messaging app thinks are unread. You can select each message to "read" it in your messaging app. The unread counts decrease to zero, and you are happy because your OCD self is relieved.

5 ★I was having an issue as my default sms app was showing 1 unread message. This app showed which message is flagged as unread and took me to that message directly. I deleted that message and unread message count is reset now. Thank you developers.
