Kitab ini beliau tulis berdasarkan hafalan beliau tanpa melihat kepada kitab aslinya. Sungguh mulia beliau menghafal sekian ribu hadits, lalu mengajarkannya. Begitupun hingga kini, berapa banyak berapa banyak ulama yang telah dan sedang mengajarkan kitab ini kepada kaum muslimin. Semua itu mudah-mudahan Alloh Subhanahu wa Ta'ala membalas dengan kebaikan yang berlipat-lipat ganda kepada al-Hafizh Ibnu Hajar al-Asqalany dan para ulama, serta umat Islam yang telah dan sedang mengajar dan mempelajarinya.
