1. Call a Taxi
Select your pickup location on the app to request a taxi. You can customize your order by selecting a drop-off location, a number of vehicles, type of vehicle and payment method. When your order matches with a nearby taxi, it will give you an estimated time of arrival. It’s that easy!
1.Make a Reservation
Place an order in advance and give yourself a piece of mind. After selecting the date and time, just follow the same steps as “Call a Taxi.”
2.Fare Finder
Go to Calculate Fare and enter pick-up and drop-off locations. We will show you an estimated fare and travel time. *The actual fare will vary depending on traffic, road conditions and route taken.
3.Airport Fixed Rate
Travel smart with our Airport Fixed Rate! The flat rate taxi service is available in selected cities and the fee may vary by participating taxi company.
4.JapanTaxi Wallet and Cashless Payment Options
Link your payment method to your JapanTaxi account and pay your fare seamlessly. The Online Payment feature accepts credit cards and other online payment services. (*2)

・Some of the in-app functions are only available with participating taxi companies. Some taxi companies do not receive drop-off location data or offer advanced reservations or cashless payment options.

Q: What is an APK File?

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

1 ★Not good. They are sneaky with extra fees. Every explanation has a caveat (*) so you can't really trust anything they claim. When you tap to show reservation fee, pops up unhelpful message: "Prices vary by company." Need to go back, select a taxi company, and check one by one. Why not just show the reservation fees for all of them, instead of useless popup? App tries hard to hide all of the additional fees it has. Also their estimates on GoogleMaps (to try to lure you in) are all lies.
5 ★Easy for foreigners! Even I didn't speak Japanese, booking was all done online. The arrival time of the taxi was exact as shown in the app. One thing they could improve on is that the expected price is not shown on the app from the beginning of your journey on an Android device. Over all great service!
1 ★This is obviously the taxi industries response to Didi and Uber but it just fails. Taxis never know where I'm going when I get in . Even though I put the address in they never know. Often they will have to call someone up to get directions instead of putting it into the GPS. On top of this, the drivers often don't know about the payment having to contact someone to check how it works.
4 ★Should allow multiple companies at once (now it does! Added one star) and allow user to refine destination via app instead of just saying inform driver, when typing the destination didn't work fine. The developers answered my comment, very good sign that they are committed with quality. One suggestion, if possible it would be nice to share a location form Google Maps into the Japan Taxi as destination. That would make the destination selection so easy, specially for foreigners. Thanks
1 ★Poorly implemented system. How can you expect foreign visitors, like me and many others to use this app if you don't allow foreign numbers? I already have an account set up a couple years ago but I can't even log in to that, I was presented with a generic error message. Clearly shows this app is not prepared for the 2020 Summer Olympics
1 ★Don't use unless this is your last option. First try to use, the app even after 5+ minutes can't find taxi, but i can't cancel the search. Second attempt forgot password but resetting doesn't work, the author of the app doesn't know why, so they delete my account and tell me to register again. Few more tries after that most of them app can't find taxi (while waiting for the app dozens pass by), on few occasions it found taxi it showed me at wrong places. It's worse but I hit word count limit.
1 ★I have landed in Japan a few days ago, and not ONCE have I succeeded in calling a taxi in the middle of Shinjuku. It's either an error message, there's no taxi available (but I can see them on the map?), Or it just doesn't work. But Uber works fine so I don't know what's the problem.
4 ★This app is a life saver...when it works. I usually dont have any issue getting a cab to show up, and their service is prompt and very helpful. However, I dont like how sometimes I can see cabs in the area but they are never available during the morning hours, and the pick a time feature has never worked for me. Other than that I enjoy this app when I need it the most and I love that it is integrated with Google maps.
5 ★I don't speak Japanese at all. This app helped me order a taxi and it helped with communication between the driver and myself. Furthermore, driver I got was excellent, he tried to communicate and asked if I was heading to Narita Airport from Nippori station using the Skyliner, which I was so he dropped me off at the closest entrance and helped carry my bags up the stairs.
2 ★App never worked, tried to flag a taxi twice. First time, app said I wasn't in a place I could be picked up even though I was right on the street and didn't let me book a taxi. Second time, I booked a ride and the taxi never showed. Tried to cancel to only have the app give an error code. Uninstalled. Hot garbage, better off just sticking your arm out. Only two-stars because the app looks nice
4 ★Maps are a bit confusing. Both times I entered the address the drivers called dispatch to make sure the address came. Through I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if it was the app. I am happy they double checked. So grateful
1 ★I dont recommend this app for foreigners unless you are fluent in Japanese. Will get charged double the rate stated and you won't be able to dispute. Much easier to just grab a cab on the street, they pass through most roads constantly and less time wasted waiting for a cab from the app.
