2 ★This has been a positive/negative experience. It's a great app when it's working, but it's a bummer when it's not. Particularly when it completely fails and you not only lose all your historical readings, but even find that you can no longer download the app at all (for a re-install). I don't know if they had a complete server melt-down or what, but I'm having zero luck trying to recover from losing all my info/history or even reinstalling the app itself.
2 ★It seems that every update breaks basic functionality. Dark color schemes now show black text on a gray background until I force quit and restart. Parallel windows no longer work, at all. The updates made there versions ago broke the usability of references. And the appointment keeps getting bigger and bigger, which shows it all down, all for the saddle of adding advertisements notifications and other features that no one uses. I give up. I'm switching apps. Maybe I'll try again someday...
4 ★I like this Bible app very much. Just a little buggy at the moment. Unable to change colors in advanced settings, and the Nav bar doesnt change to the app color like it previously did. Other than that, its really great. Saves all my notes and highlights. The sync feature is definitely my favorite, since I use multiple devices. Would be 5 stars beside the small bugs.
4 ★I really like the versitility of the bible for highlighting and writing notes and other resources that interface with it, but it stops working frequently or freezes up and I have to restart the phone to get out of the app. Also, there is now some glitch in highlighting that makes it hard as when you want to hightlight a sentence or phrase it jumps back to hightlight a paragraph or several paragraphs. I got around that by starting at the end of what I was highlighting and moving back.
3 ★I love the parallel screen option and have really enjoyed using this app during our church bible studies. Unfortunately, the latest update came with a lot of bugs. Lots of hanging, customizations don't stick. I still use it, but I think they've tried to include so many bells and whistles that they are bogging things down with them.
4 ★Not happy. My Samsung tablet is running the latest Android software. App is so slow as to be almost useless. Frustrating at best. Like the features. Too bad. I've used Olive Tree for several years. Seems to get worse as time goes by. The latest update was a huge help. I still have to, on occasion, do a "force stop" but then it kicks in. Thanks. I am now at peace with what is one of my favorite apps.
5 ★I've owned the app for several years now (from 2019) and find it to be top of the line. The Olive Tree team of programmers and designers are simply some of the best. The application resulting from their efforts is elegantly designed with an easy to use interface and I can't recall encountering but one faux bug: an error on my part! The OT Bible app is simply invaluable as a study tool.
3 ★The pros of this app are that it offers a lot of good content and commentaries, at a competitive price. The cons are that it has been consistently glitchy for the nine years I've been using it. The minute one issue is fixed, three more are often introduced. I don't remember a time when everything worked as it was supposed to. The second con is that I find it difficult to simultaneously coordinate multiple resources when studying. Logos is much better for that. I mainly use Logos now.
2 ★I got excited with the easy user interface, categories, notes, tags, etc. But after using for a month now, highly disappointed as it CONSTANTLY crashes! No matter if I'm going back from Notes to reading or anything - it just freezes. Very tired of having to do a "force stop" in settings like every time I want to read. Unnerving! I have the latest hardware Galaxy S9+ so quite surprised by this. I'll now be going back to Tecarta - I only left because they didn't have Tags which is one of my favorite features. Bummer
5 ★App is great, love the book, chaper verse, picking method. The only improvement I can suggest. It took me a long long time to figure out how to get to the app menu. And that was by accident. You have to tap in the blank space left or right of the "Select Verse" in the title bar. Be nice if there was symbol to indicate tap here for menu.
5 ★my favorite Bible app! Clean and uncluttered and not distracting. I love the underline options and color options. One feature would be great, is a dot or mark at top of page corner that I could mark to show I've read a page. This is a great way to make sure I dont re-read pages or to help track progress when reading the whole book. Keep up the great work!
5 ★Fantastic All-in-One Bible Study App. I really enjoy it. I love that I can use it on my PC and Android and can sync my notes. I love that I can leave notes right in the app while I'm reading. There are commentaries available, some free, some for purchase in the app that you can synchronize with your reading. I've had the rare issue with freezing or it not working properly, but that could be my device. Ultimately, it's a slick, effective, smooth-running app that's a great tool for my Bible study.
