Berawal dari kecintaan akan seni budaya Jawa, komunitas Angkasa Budaya yang berada di kota Kediri, Jawa Timur, yang dipimpin oleh YS Witak Chondro Wijoyo, didukung oleh beberapa tokoh masyarakat kota Kediri, menggagas pendirian radio siaran yang bernuansa seni dan budaya, khususnya budaya Jawa. Keterlibatan aktif dalam melestarikan seni budaya Jawa sudah dimulai sejak tahun 2002, tepatnya pada tanggal 7 Juli 2002 yang ditandai dengan pagelaran Wayang Kulit, dihadiri oleh Walikota Kediri, Drs. H. Achmad Maschut, Muspida Kota Kediri, para pejabat Pemkot Kediri, tokoh masyarakat, pimpinan KWRI, anggota komunitas Angkasa Budaya dan masyarakat umum.Berbekal idealisme yang tinggi, logis, dengan visi dan misi yang jelas, didukung oleh para pecinta seni budaya Jawa di berbagai daerah, Radio Sri Aji Wijoyo merambah media streaming untuk memperluas jangkauan melintasi batas wilayah yang lebih global, untuk dapat hadir menjadi penghibur bagi pecinta seni budaya Jawa di mana pun berada, sekaligus menjadi pengobat rindu akan budaya luhur di tengah modernisasi yang ada.
Radio Streaming Sri Aji Wijoyo memiliki Misi untuk menjadi Saluran Pelestari Budaya Pemersatu Nusantara.
Sejalan dengan Misi tersebut, Radio Streaming Sri Aji Wijoyo membangun Visi yaitu Hanglestari Budaya, Mamrih Luhuring Bangsa (Melestarikan Budaya demi Keluhuran Bangsa).
