Description

“See something say something” for smartphones.

The MBTA See Say App offers riders a quick and discreet method for reporting suspicious activity directly and instantaneously to Transit Police. Using this app, riders can send the MBTA Transit Police pictures, text messages, and locations of suspicious activity.

From the App home screen, riders have two easy options for contacting Transit Police:

* The “Report a Problem” button allows riders to send text or photos directly to Transit Police. To ensure discretion, the camera flash is automatically disabled when photos are taken through the app. When reporting an issue, riders can select station locations and report categories to assist transit police.

* The “Call Transit Police” button will connect customers directly to Transit Police.

The application is designed for the T. If you send a report in an area without cellular connectivity, it will be stored and sent when connectivity returns. The system is also design to send text before pictures so that Transit Police get reports as quickly as possible.

Additional Features

Riders can sign up to receive MBTA T-Alerts through the app to be notified of service delays and disruptions.

BOLO alerts. (Be On the Look Out) SeeSay may also display alerts from the MBTA. For example, SeeSay may display information about a missing person, such as where they were last seen. If you see this person you may call or send a report to Transit Police.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Uninstalled
1 ★Bad
5 ★Awesome
3 ★Check boxes for T alerts won't stay checked.
5 ★Well done! Nice and easy to use UI that is far nicer looking than most gov'ment based apps. No obligation to ID oneself, providing anonymity if you want. It also does service alerts for all MBTA busses, rails and boats! This is a great way to allocate resources more efficiently making transit a safer, more enjoyable experience. All T riders with a smart phone should have this app on standby...
3 ★Force closes every time I open. Samsung Exhibit II using CM9
2 ★There appears to be no way to fully turn off the alerts notification function, which is annoying when the MBTA insists on sending out alerts about mundane things like service being extended to due to a football game. At first look the alerts feature appears well designed, with the ability to select only the transit lines you care about, but evidently there are global type alerts that go out even with no lines selected. Getting an alert at 12:45 AM about service being extended when you have no transit lines selected is absurd. If there were a way to turn off the alerts notification but still have the app installed for viewing alerts and reporting issues I may have kept it installed.
3 ★I don't get alerts anymore, and I don't think that's a good thing. Also, if I could customize the alert sound, that would make it much better when I actually do get them...
4 ★...However, the true test will be in having to actually use it (which I hope is never the case). Otherwise, a great tool to have on standby. (Pantech Crossover)
1 ★No idea if it's any good
5 ★Use thid to notify authorities if you see anything
5 ★Very fast and easy to use, very handy. Thanks
