2 ★The app got a strong launch, but the low update velocity killed most of the momentum and engagement levels have tanked. I'll increase my star rating when I get more features to approach Twitter app parity (and more), such as: - Hashtags - GIFs (from Tenor, not Giphy) - Direct Messages/Private IM - Trends & Trends for you - Lists - Auto feed refresh without manual pull - Creating polls/survey questions
5 ★Threads keeps shutting down. My Samsung S23+ phone claims that there is a bug. I like that it is dark mode. Even I can figure out how to post on this app. 🤷 I reckon it could allow a few more words per post because I tend to ramble on a bit at times, but I suppose there has to be a limit. Anyway, I can do a mention on the previous post so I can dribble on some more. A sneaky work around. 😏
1 ★Since I did update on 12.5. App keeps crashing. Had to work with my phone carrier. It's android s23. Have done all the things. Uninstalled an cleared cache. Nothing works. Has a bug or something. Frustrating. I like the app have been using it since April . First time since update that it's crashing.??? What do I do?
1 ★This app is so annoying that it shows up on my Instagram feed. It'll show you a post by someone and seemingly give you the option to click "more" to see the rest of their post. That, however, is misleading, as clicking on "more" just takes you to the app store. I'm tired of it. It stinks.
2 ★I wanted to give this another chance after seeing articles about its new features that don't exist for me. Threads could be the new X (twitter) but it's severely lacking a lot of features. I can't search posts, no use of hashtags, I have no idea if my profile and posts are reaching anyone else. Who tested this and said "Yea this will blow away the competition!" I'll come back after major changes are made.
1 ★App constantly does weird things. Followed someone I was not at all trying to follow, even showed that I wasn't following them only to later see that I was (after they requested a follow), and while scrolling through the feed it just keeps going to the replies page even though I'm not clicking replies nor am I sliding to the left. Why is it like this? Terrible.
5 ★I love Threads! It's like what Twitter used to be, before you-know-who, but even nicer! It's a great community of artists and makers and thinkers and writers and animal owners and just plain, nice people. From a technical standpoint, it's growing by leaps and bounds. The features keep rolling out, and every new feature makes it even better (hello, beloved edit button). The platform is stable. There are still many features outstanding that would make it easier to use, but it's getting there!
1 ★A subpar Twitter with less features, already being overrun by spam bots, and my feed is already 40% I don't follow because it defaults to a "for you" feed, to get out of which is hidden. Also, if you block content, copycat or similar content will start showing up, basically negating the point. The metaverse grows only worse and worse. Now it also gives me notifications from people I don't follow or care to follow, so I am shutting off all notifications from this app. God, you guys suck.
3 ★Excellent replacement for the ex-social media platform that's abandoned all pretense of protecting users from disinformation. Easy to use. Good design. 👍 12/10 ‐ Bad news. The recent update causes frequent crashes. Let us hope they fix it soon. Very annoying.
1 ★Useless developers!!! I updated the app to the newest version again, but it still doesn't work and constantly says, "Sorry, something went wrong. Try Again". This is frustrating! I tried to clean cache and data, reinstall, different internet and wifi connections, with and without vpn, but nothing works. I truly want to use it, but I can't. :( I have sent the logs, but they are useless and can't fix it or change the message.
3 ★I downloaded the Threads app with high hopes, but my experience has been quite disappointing. The app's lack of optimization is immediately noticeable – it feels sluggish and unresponsive. What's even worse is that the app crashes multiple times, making it incredibly frustrating to use. It's evident that the app contains numerous bugs and errors, which further hampers its usability. 1 ★There are no settings to control notifications in a meaningful way. They will still push notifications for things you don't want, even pestering you in other apps (Instagram) that you have unread Threads notifications for spam. Dead platform and I'm glad it's siphoning money from them.
