Description
中國是歷史上最早使用年號紀年的國家。本應用包括了中國歷史地理學範圍內，在中國歷史上各朝代、地方割據政權、民變政權、少數民族政權所使用的年號。
年號索引大體按照中國傳統的朝代分章節，該朝代同時期的其他政權年號列于該朝代之後，並分別以時間順序排列。
每一條年號包括年號名稱，使用該年號的君主名稱，起訖時間和使用年數（不足一年的則為使用月數），其他需要說明的事項，則會在備注中說明。開始和結束時間不明的則使用'？'代替。在年中改元或終止使用年號的，則在年份後按照傳統習慣注明農曆月份。帶'*'的年號為用其他政權的年號。
