Description

This CredibleMeds Mobile App supports the CredibleMeds.org website which maintains and posts lists of drugs in categories that reflect their ability to prolong the QT interval on the electrocardiogram and/or cause the life-threatening heart arrhythmia, torsades de pointes (TdP).

The CredibleMeds Mobile App was developed for patients, especially those with Congenital Long QT Syndrome (cLQTS), healthcare professionals and research scientists in order to provide them with ready access to the most up-to-date version of the CredibleMeds lists of drugs.

For healthcare professionals and research scientists, the QTdrugs Lists can be used to identify which drugs can cause QT prolongation or TdP.
The App also provides background information on the categories of drug risk and explains the relationship between QT prolongation and TdP.

For patients with Congenital Long QT Syndrome, the drugs and risk categories are described and designated separately as the list of Drugs to Avoid in cLQTS.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★So easy to use . I had the developers original app so glad it was finally recognized since its been noticed by credible meds.
5 ★Incredibly useful and helpful app. We all know the situation when you need to check a drug, but have no access to the negative list. Now it is always in your pocket.....and always up to date. Thank you to the developer!
4 ★Thank you!!! Trying to always remember my (updated) list every time I go to a doctor is always such a pain; I either use a saved list on Evernote or print one). It's a worry every single visit that requires a prescription, or every OTC medicine I buy. Having an app is wonderful! Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, I hope you will consider trying to add the ability to sort by class. Antibiotics are a particular land mine so it would be great to be able to go to the entire class of antibiotics at once. Another great thing about an app is my husband can install it on his phone too so if I'm ever in an emergency situation he can double check; it's amazing how few health care providers have never heard of LQTS.
5 ★This site is a life saver. I share it with all my Dr's. who aren't familiar with LTPQ.
5 ★I used CredibleMeds as a major data source for my PhD thesis (now published in a peer-reviewed journal) on the early prediction of Torsades during drug development. However, despite my deep involvement in the subject, I still find it difficult to quickly recall all Torsadogenic drugs when taking care of my patients (especially considering that the list is frequently updated). This app is a godsend!
5 ★Great reassuring I always check any meds now - so surprised by some meds I can no longer take due to lqt
4 ★One issue, connection to medical literature references isn't working.
5 ★What not to take with LQT
5 ★Much needed for long qt patients
5 ★This app is a godsend, doctors are always asking us what drugs are on the list, we usually have to print a list for them to lose. Now we can just show them.
5 ★Thank you! This is so much easier than lugging around a paper copy of the list. So many non-cardiologists aren't aware there are medicines people with LQT cannot take and they don't all have a BNF or MIMMS to check with. This app makes it so quick and easy to look them up
1 ★I downloaded and delete 3 different times and still wouldn't open up
