Opening 26e Taptoe GroningenTijdens de opening en in de finale kan het publiek kennis maken met een aantal orkesten uit de regio die hun krachten zullen bundelen. Dit jaar is het regio-orkest samengesteld uit de jarige DHO uit Delfzijl, Loppersum’s Harmonie uit Loppersum en muziekvereniging Prins Bernhard uit Termunten. (Het Delfzijls Harmonie Orkest viert dit jaar haar 120-jarig bestaan).
Voor de opening van de avond is wederom in samenwerking met onze partner North Music Holland een compositieopdracht verleend. Componist Feike van Tuinen is bereid gevonden de openingsfanfare te componeren. De compositie draagt de naam: ‘Northern Notes’ en is uitgegeven door North Music Holland en gedistribueerd door GB Muziek uit Surhuisterveen.Feike van Tuinen was vanmorgen in Surhuisterveen aanwezig om het stuk officieel, aan een delegatie van Taptoe Groningen, te overhandigen
