4 ★I love this app as you can get great deals on delicious food but I'm upset that it now no longer gives notifications when it's time to save food. It used to let me know when a favorite was running out but now nothing. I was checking trying to grab a bag from a store I want to try earlier but it said nothing was available, then an hour later it said it was sold out. Never got a chance to even see it list food to save. You should allow notifications for specific places. Otherwise good app.
4 ★this app is great because I love saving the food and of course it's a good quality for cheap and pretty good restaurants for cheap but sometimes my order just goes away and it's really hard to find again so I guess I wish there was like an orders tab or something because it's very convenient on the bottom but sometimes it just isn't there and it stresses me out. also! I wish more restaurants had vegetarian/ vegan only surprise bags. I know that's harder for them but I can't order from most shops
3 ★It's a wonderful app just hate the fact that a lot of the restaurants in Manhattan are only late afternoon pickup. That is not useful to me. I need variety when it comes to pick up time. Also you don't always see how much food is left for a restaurant which sucks because there are some I really love supposing either during my lunch break or picking up after the work day has ended
3 ★The app works well, but it is only a window to the service. The service is what matters. This vegetarian finds it frustrating, because few listings are marked veggie or vegan, and many listings which are in fact veggie (eg pastries) are not tagged as such, so do but appear in my searches.
1 ★Very disappointing. Tried a couple coffee shops first and got the dregs, stuff NO ONE wants, and despite the value listed as several times what I paid, I wouldn't have paid half of what I did had I known what I'd be getting. Noticed a very high-quality Michelin-starred restaurant that I've eaten at on the app and tried for days to score one of their bags. Finally got one reserved, only to show up and find "there was a glitch" and they don't offer them on that day. No notice either, wasted trip.
5 ★this has got to be one of the best money saving apps ever for the bold. it's a fantastic deal to try new places for a very affordable price and it feels as though there are more restaurants joining all the time. I love the app and the only reason I don't use it more is due to pick up times being out of my reach for places I enjoy. there's a whole community around what our surprise bags consist of and I share this app with all my friends. it's a fantastic app for meals less than $7.
2 ★Good concept, middling execution. They keep updating and taking filtering features away! Maybe 10% of the time it'll remember your filtering (why show sold out bags by default?). Give a way to "hide" businesses I'm not interested in. I've also had a few orders cancelled <5min before pickup. I get it, but frustrating to just find parking and have it cancelled.
2 ★Latest version requires location on the phone to be enabled. Previously, it worked just fine with manually entered zip codes. Now it doesn't. This renders the app basically unusable for me, as I rarely want location services enabled. Please consider reverting this change, thank you.
2 ★Was a great app until the option to remove sold-out options was taken away. Living in a city, it's now borderline unusable. After consistently using for nearly a year, I'll likely just pass until the feature is added back. If that doesn't happen, I just won't use it.
5 ★Recent app update forces the metric system with no way to switch back. Still, this app, service and idea have saved me so much money and helped me to eat tons of delicious food and so it is hard to penalize it by reducing a star. Still the ability to work within my native means of measurement once again would be greatly appreciated.
1 ★As an NYC resident, I have been using the "To Go To Go" app for quite some time to order food from various restaurants. However, my experience with this app has been quite disappointing, to say the least. While there are occasional gems, it has mostly been a hit or miss, and it seems like many restaurants are just using the app as a means to sell the same amount of food for the same price it's worth ,this is extremely disappointing wasting your time going to the location.
2 ★Great concept. I ordered from three different locations and I've arrived to find an order cancelled and have also been given food considerably out of date. This would be tolerable if there was the capacity to provide honest feedback for individual retailers but the in-app review system only allows you to select from a short list of positive options and when an order is cancelled you are not allowed to provide a rating at all. A poor user experience and a service I no longer trust
