1 ★This is unusable rubbish. The interface is un-intuative, cluttered & clunky both android & iOS versions. New features are poorly designed & previous features are unsupported, site/area search unusable. Can't believe it was rolled out without being adequately tested. Bring back the old app, it may have needed a bit of a polish but at least it worked
1 ★This is awful, what a terrible update. It's totally unusable. I can't search for the area I'm looking to stay or filter for the sites I need. The map just glitches constantly, which is so frustrating. There's boxes all over, so I can't read the map. Why change what was a brilliant user friendly app for this? Please change it back this app is not fit for purpose
1 ★This is all but unusable on a phone, the show/hide affiliated sites and Cl and POI buttons and the top banner take up over 2/3 of the screen so the map is barely visible, the worst designed app I have ever seen. The show/hide function is confusing also, as it's not clear whether that's what you have selected or if clicking the button will make the map show/hide. It would be better if the option was just 'show' with a clear on/off button.
1 ★Zero stars but I couldn't post unless I gave one!This new app is awful and has rendered it pretty much impossible to search the map to find a suitable site. Whose idea was it to leave the very large filter boxes (hide or show cl/affiliated and poi) superimposed on the map? Hardly any room left to see the map, which in any case is clunky and difficult to scroll. What happened to being able to type in a location and selecting a search radius? That was too easy! This app is utterly useless.
1 ★This is the worst app, I have ever used. I would five it zero stars if i could. Unable to navigate or search by location. I can't believe they have spent money to bring this out. The old app worked some much better and was far easier to use. I can see them losing alot of custom through this. Don't download its just not worth it the time to try and work this out. Time to get the map and book out if we continue to be members. Time to move to the CCC I think if this is the best the club can offer.
2 ★Like many others have said, this app is not very good. Everything is a bit slow, the map system is messy with icons scattered about blocking up the screen (maybe incorporate a 'search this area' option?). If everything can be optimised a bit more efficiently, with a better search facility (you can select distance from location for instance) and filter system, then it could be quite good. As it is, it needs some work. Currently it is quite unusable and frustrating.
1 ★Awful! Very poor map, slow clunky not showing my true location, cluttered with filter boxes covering map. Search for late availability impossible unless you know where you want to go. Shows sites available but put details in and not available. CL sites virtually cast aside even though widely used by members. There are too many faults to fix, bug fixes and tweeks will not improve this app. Unfortunately can't give zero stars rating. Bug fixes won't change this totally poor app. Disgusted member.
1 ★This new app is awful compared to the old one. Yes there might be more functionality but if you want that why not go to the website? The whole point of the app is to streamline a process and this does the exact opposite. The map is very cluttered and slow to function. The ability to filter by facilities is a step backwards with the glaring ommision of showers on the list. Then when you do finally find a site there is no way to save it for later so you just have to search again. Very frustrating!
1 ★Absolutely awful I just downloaded the so called 'news' app. It's clunky and not at all intuitive, unlike the 'old' app. Trying to find somewhere to stay using the 'new' app, I have to go through a series of jumps which are both slow and frustrating. The old app was easy; pick a general location, set your distance and search the type of place your looking for. All achieved within seconds!! This new app is terrible and I will be leaving if it replaces the old one. Not happy 😒
1 ★If zero stars were an option you'd have got that. The map is almost totally hidden behind cluttering boxes and I couldn't even see the facility to search a radius around a place or site. Had to scroll the map manually across half the country. There are literally too many faults to list in a review so I suggest the developers take it out and try for themselves.
1 ★Having read the latest Club magazine i was hopeful that the issues would have been solved. Sadly it doesn't appear that way. Main issue is how cluttered map is- so many buttons layered over the top and then when you select a site it's even worse. Apps need to be streamlined - this isn't that at all. It's also really slow. Bring back the old UK site app! It's almost unusable now, will be using the Camping and Caravanning one instead.
1 ★I was hoping that the app had improved over the last few months but when I tried to do a search today it was just as slow and just as clunky. Really struggled to get the map to show the area I was interested in and to select a site to view. We used the old app many times and whilst it was limited at least it usually worked properly. Not going away for a couple of months so hoping it has improved by then. Otherwise we will rely a lot more on our Camping and Caravanning Club membership.
