Des notices vous permettront d’en savoir plus sur des éléments de décoration ou de mobilier, quelquefois invisibles à l’œil nu ou d’entendre le son des orgues Cavaillé Coll ou roman conservés dans le réfectoire des moines.
Deux parcours thématiques, Saint-Louis à Royaumont et L’Hôpital des Dames Ecossaises, vous plongeront dans deux époques bien particulières de l’histoire de l’abbaye : dans le premier parcours, les rapports singuliers entretenus par Saint-Louis avec l’abbaye de Royaumont tout au long de sa vie seront traduits par des textes et vitraux témoignant d’épisodes de la vie du roi aux côtés des moines ; dans le second, vous découvrirez à travers des photos d’archive et documents émouvants, l’abbaye de Royaumont transformée en hôpital de guerre ayant soigné près de 10 000 blessés entre 1915 et 1918.
