WHOOP is a wearable that tracks sleep, strain, recovery, stress, and health biometrics 24/7, providing you with personalized coaching based on your goals to help unlock your best performance. WHOOP is screenless, so all of your data lives in the WHOOP app — for a distraction-free focus on your health. The WHOOP app requires a WHOOP wearable.
WHOOP does more than track your activity — it translates your data into clear next steps. WHOOP captures your biometrics 24/7 to calibrate specifically to your body’s unique physiology, then recommending everything from when to go to bed to what behaviors to adopt to help you reach your goals.
Here's how it works:
Sleep: Every night, WHOOP calculates your sleep performance by measuring the sleep you got compared to the sleep your body needs. You'll wake up to a sleep score from 0 to 100%. Sleep Planner lets you know when you should go to bed to optimize your performance the following day. Now, with the release of WHOOP 4.0, Sleep Planner can also wake you when you've set an exact time, once you've reached your sleep goal, or when you're fully recovered using a quiet, vibrating haptic alarm.
Strain: WHOOP does more than just track your activity – it measures how much physical and mental stress you put on yourself throughout your day to calculate a daily Strain score ranging from 0 to 21. WHOOP measures both your cardiovascular and muscular load, even quantifying the impact of your strength training, to give you the most comprehensive view of the demands you put on your body. Every day, Strain Target will recommend your optimal target exertion range based on your Recovery score to help you maximize your gains without sacrificing your Recovery.
Stress: WHOOP gives you daily insight about your stress, and science-backed techniques to help manage it. Get a real-time stress score from 0-3, and based on your score, choose a breathwork session to either increase your alertness for performance, or increase relaxation in a stressful moment. See your stress trends over time to identify triggers.
Recovery: WHOOP lets you know how ready you are to perform by measuring your heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, and respiratory rate. You'll get a daily Recovery score on a scale of 0 to 100%. When you're in the green, you're ready for strain, when you're in the yellow or red, you may want to evaluate your training program.
Behaviors: Track the impact of over 140 daily habits and behaviors, like alcohol intake, medication, stress, and more, to better understand how these various behaviors help or hurt you.
WHOOP Coach: Ask questions about your health & fitness and get highly personalized, specific-to-you answers on demand. Using your unique biometric data, the latest in performance science, and OpenAI's technology, WHOOP Coach generates responses on everything from training plans to why you’re feeling tired.
What else you can do in the WHOOP app:
• Dig into the details: See a breakdown of your activities by heart rate zone, and even see trends across Sleep, Strain, and Recovery up to 6 months at a time to adjust your behaviors, training, plans and more • Join a team: Stay motivated and accountable by joining a team. Chat directly with your teammates in the app, or as a coach, see how your team's training is going • Health Connect: WHOOP integrates with Health Connect to sync activities, health data, and more for a comprehensive view of your overall health. • Get help: Membership Services is available to answer your questions directly from the app

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Where to start, first off it has the worst designed band I have ever used, the data it collects is wrong ( that is assuming it tracks data which most of the time it doesn't ) It doesn't track sleep most of the time, heart rate data is laughably off, then the app, not sure what to say here. I really don't mind the design but it can't sync most of the time. Terrible service. Save your money because there is no value in whoop !
1 ★Update: Checked this morning and app still hadn't synced data from my phone since 11/24. Rebooted the device, then left app open to allow data to catch up. Data finally synced with server but discovered that, despite wearing 4.0 strap 24/7 and charged for the last 3 days, absolutely no data from that time was recorded. Have a few months left on my membership, but will cancel if this doesn't improve.
3 ★Have never used the whoop 3.0 but was turned on to whoop from a family friend. Awesome concept and for most of the time awesome execution. However I have to agree with most comments who have posted within the last year. On Android, the whoop is a buggy messy. The biggest issue I have is with bluetooth connectivity, which can often get into endless reconnects and the error handler in this area of the app probably needs to be significantly refactored. We need to have these bugs prioritized.
2 ★I frequently have to uninstall and reinstall the app when my strap gets disconnected from my phone. If I go out of range of the phone bc I'm, for instance, running, or paddleboarding, or kayaking, when I get back in range I have to reconnect. And that means typically an uninstall and a reinstall. So...Pretty bad experience as a user from a BASIC functionality perspective.
2 ★3 days in, and I've had major connectivity issues 2 of those 3 days. As others have noted, the system isn't exactly stable on Android. Considering the cost of subscription this is simply unacceptable - if they came out and admitted the Android version was an open beta and cut the cost in half, it would be fine, but this product is supposed to be ready for market, and it's clearly not. I have no desire to spend 10 minutes every morning trying to get the strap to connect, and if this behaviour continues I'm going to cancel my subscription and ask for my money back.
2 ★Willing to fix my rating once app improves: since the latest update, my strap isn't syncing with the app correctly (I can't keep it open in the background, the app has to be open) and there's no notification when the strap disconnects from my phone. It was disconnected for 36+ hours and nothing. It was fine when I first got it and was working great. Then with the latest app update, performance has significantly decline. Please fix the app and I'll fix my rating.
2 ★Updated rating following the recent (March 2023) redesign. The new layout is overly complicated, not intuitive, and intentionally makes relevant information hard to find. The app was fine prior to these changes, but due to the difficulty in basic app navigation, and given the lack of communication from developer amid the negative feedback, I'm dropping my review to 2 stars.
4 ★Been using 3.0 for a few weeks...I do like it a lot as far as tracking workout strain and recovery. Sleep tracking is so-so but I think that's more me than the strap (firefighter/paramedic so I'm up and down all night....). My only complaint is the lack of features compared to iOS users. Android as of now lacks GPS tracking as well as a few minor features. Hoping either Android gets these soon or else they drop the monthly subscription a little considering we're not getting the same product as 🍎
1 ★Second time in the last month my strap became disconnected and will not reconnect or states "data is catching up" with no catch up. First strap was replaced but no change with second. I have been a loyal customer and serious enthusiast from the beginning with great results until this last fiasco. I was patient and understanding at first but this product is useless and more frustrating than it's worth. I will take my business elsewhere.
4 ★I enjoy the information that the app gives me, and have become more aware of recovery and sleep as well as total strain my exercise provides. The app is pretty comprehensive, and intuitively designed for the most part. That said, I have a few suggestions for the journal portion of the app. First: In my opinion, filling out the journal should be as quick and easy as possible, so unnecessary animations like the circular progress bar while your journal is "saving" only serves to make the app seem slower. Second: I personally liked the old journal layout where it was a list of checks and exes that allow you to quickly select all the items you need to journal, versus the new slider layout. If there is more information being saved, then I can see this as a worthwhile addition. If not, it only makes the process take longer. Third: Entries from the previous day should be automatically loaded into the current days journal, so the user only needs to modify things that have changed. If I have exactly one cup of coffee every day at 7:30, I should be able to just tap "yes" on that card to move on to the next question, rather than try to fumble with the sliders and select the time and quantity starting from zero. If these issues get fixed, it's a five-star app by me.
1 ★I plan on canceling my service today. You pay a premium for a service that gives you a wonky wristband or a buggy app. When it works it's nice but my device constantly has connection issues and the application has trouble uploading whatever data my whoop does seem to collect. Unfortunately I don't seem to be the only one with this issue. I've tried power cycling my devices. Unpairing and pairing the devices. Watching troubleshooting videos. Reinstalling the applications... I'm over it.
1 ★The Whoop 3.0 was amazing, I never had any problems with it. But the Whoop 4.0 device has been terrible. The app sometimes doesn't automatically sync and I have to manually reset the app and hardware. There's been at least 8 days in the past 2 months where the data doesn't sync from the device to the app properly and where there are gaps in my sleep and activity data. For such an expensive service, I don't recommend it.
