1 ★I love the idea of this app and want to walk and earn money for a rescue. However I just hiked 9 miles and it says I only hiked 1.5 miles. Will try a few more times but that is a huge disappointment
4 ★Wooftrax works as promised and is accurate. Enjoy using it and appreciate it's purpose. I also agree with another reviewer that stated it would be nice to know at what point donations are made to the charity. All in all a nice app that I will recommend to others.
3 ★I hope the latest updates Wooftrax is making does fit the tracking problems. Used the app just fine for 2 weeks then it stopped recording my walks. Will try it again before using another app.
4 ★I use this app whenever I am walking, running, biking or hiking. I love being able to do some good while spending time with my pup! There are a few improvements that I think would enhance it and make it much better. 1. Cannot use the Notification that shows the app is being used for anything 2. Cannot use the camera without the session ending 3. Would love to know how much my chosen shelter/rescue has received, either historically or real-time 4. More detail when a session is shared via facebook, i.e. length/time of session, map and/or include photos, if we could take them during a session. (last year it used to include the mileage at least, now not even that is shared) That's all I can think of right now. I don't mind the ads as then I don't have to pay but also I don't like to have to sit thru too many in order to share a session or whatever. :)
1 ★I've had this app for years, loved it, promoted it to everyone, it was an amazing app, easy to use, you could track your steps, I use to zoom in and take screenshots of my travels for my clients. This new update is horrible, the interface is not user friendly, it's harder to get started, especially when you're hands are full with excited animals. It doesn't track as well, furthermore, it used to show you where you were, I've gotten lost a few times, the map use to be so accurate, I could find
3 ★I loved the idea of walk for a dog, and got my dogs shelter to sign up. However, I stopped using it a couple years ago because I had too many walking apps going at the same time. I just redownloaded it, and its suddenly really inaccurate, says my End point is randomly halfway through my route (it is not set to stop until its idle for 20 mins), doesnt give me credit for the whole walk unless I'm watching it the whole time. It's just too buggy, and I'm uninstalling again. Oh. And now there are a million ads! Great in theory, disappointing in practice.
3 ★I like the point of this app, but it regularly misses my path. So my dog and I walking our almost 1 mile route almost every day, is credited for anywhere from .39 miles to .96 miles. Plus, when I walk my dog around the lake, it shows us walking through the middle of the lake. It did this infrequently at first, but now most every day. Please fix.
5 ★I LOVE this app so much. I learned about it through the rescue where we got our pup Lulu - Recycled Pets Nor-Cal. I think it is fantastic that walking my dog can help support great organizations. I really love that the app tracks my routes (time, distance covered and a map of the route we took!). It is so cool to look back at the history of our walks. The updated version of the app is wonderful.
4 ★Love the idea behind the app, and the experience has been improved recently. However, there are still a few issues: · I'd love a much shorter window during which the user is idle before an autosave of the walk occurs. · Sometimes the app fails to start recording a walk after the user initiates. One wouldn't know it unless they keep a constant eye on their phone, but that's not how I like to enjoy a stroll outside. ·App could definitely be lighter. Takes a while to load when starting it up.
5 ★This is an easy-to-use app that makes walking even more fun. I walk, and sponsors that WT does the work to acquire sponsor me and countless others to donate to our charities. The app is reliable, gets regular updates that are appropriate and not just ad-driven, which is what some other apps seem to do, and is smooth to navigate. I have not gauged whether the stats are accurate but I don't have any reason to use them, so that is not particularly important to me. I expect since the sponsors' endorsements are based on the cumulative stats, they do check and are confident with the accuracy. The challenges are fun to join. I always meet them with enthusiasm while walking our dogs. WoofTrax sends an end-of-year email with disclosure information regarding their effectiveness. This is good business practice and I appreciate it.
4 ★FIX THIS APP!!!!! I, too, used to love and use the app regularly. But lately it has not recorded my walks accurately and because I can't walk too often in the winter due to knee issues, it is extremely important that when I do walk, it is recorded. The shelter I walk for needs as many people counted as possible! UPDATE: App appears to be fixed and working better. Now that the weather is cooler I'll be walking more and will monitor walks to make sure they are counted. So far so good. Thank you!
3 ★Love this app. Helps me to keep track of how much we walk through out the week. My typical goal is 1 mile a day. 6/24, noticed the app wasn't working properly. It was resuming my previous walks. Therefore making it look like I've been n walking for 15 miles for 24 hrs. No way to stop it. Every time I closed it, it was saved. Only to resume the next time. For the last 5 days.
