Il progetto PRINCE, cofinanziato dal Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Tutela del Territorio e del Mare, promuove il cambiamento delle abitudini di mobilità per gli spostamenti sistematici per motivi di studio. Il progetto vuole favorire la riduzione delle emissioni di inquinanti e dei consumi energetici legati al mondo del trasporto in ambito urbano, attraverso la definizione e l'implementazione di politiche integrate di incentivo, fidelizzazione e premialità per chi decide di passare a modalità di trasporto più sostenibili: il trasporto pubblico, il car sharing e il bike sharing per spostamenti nel tragitto casa / università.L’app PRINCE è rivolta agli studenti dell’Università di Genova che, utilizzando i mezzi di trasporto “green” per i loro spostamenti casa / università, possono accumulare punti convertibili in premi. L’app consente di affiliarsi al programma di incentivazione, di convalidare l’effettuazione dei viaggi “green”, di verificare il proprio saldo punti e di richiedere premi. Il riconoscimento di un viaggio avviene tramite dialogo con sensori Bluetooth presenti a bordo dei mezzi.
Per convalidare l’effettiva effettuazione di un viaggio, l’applicazione fa uso, al proprio interno, dei dati sulla posizione. Questi dati sono raccolti solo all’interno dell’app e in maniera temporanea, solo per la suddetta verifica. Nessun dato di posizione è trasmesso ad alcun soggetto.
