CARDIOEQUIVALÊNCIAS é uma aplicação desenvolvida pela Ferrer Internacional, S.A., com o objetivo de ajudar os profissionais de saúde nas trocas entre doses e equivalentes terapêuticos e, consequentemente, na gestão da terapêutica cardiovascular.Entende-se por equivalente terapêutico, um fármaco com estrutura química diferente do original, mas do qual se espera um efeito terapêutico e um perfil de efeitos adversos semelhantes, quando administrado a um doente em doses equivalentes.
O intercâmbio terapêutico é entendido como a substituição de um medicamento quimicamente diferente do prescrito, mas considerado um equivalente terapêutico ou uma alternativa mais adequada, com base num protocolo previamente estabelecido e aceite.
CARDIOEQUIVALÊNCIAS contém três botões que permitem: converter a dose de um ARA II na dose de um IECA, converter a dose de um IECA na dose de outro IECA e encontrar as equivalências de eficácia hipolipemiantes entre as diferentes estatinas, para a mesma redução do nível de colesterol LDL.
Além disso, CARDIOEQUIVALÊNCIAS indica as equivalências para as quais é possível reduzir a polimedicação através da utilização um poli-comprimido e, assim, simplificar a terapêutica.
