CARDIOEQUIVALENCIAS es una aplicación desarrollada por Ferrer Internacional, S.A., cuyo objetivo es ayudar al intercambio terapéutico de principios activos y dosis equivalentes, a los médicos implicados en el manejo de la salud cardiovascular.Se entiende por equivalente terapéutico un fármaco diferente en su estructura química del original, pero del que se espera un efecto terapéutico y un perfil de efectos adversos similares cuando se administra a un paciente a dosis equivalentes.
Se entiende por intercambio terapéutico la sustitución de un fármaco diferente químicamente del prescrito, pero considerado equivalente terapéutico o mejor alternativa terapéutica, en base a un protocolo previamente establecido y aceptado.
CARDIOEQUIVALENCIAS contiene tres botones que permiten: convertir la dosis de un ARA II a la dosis de un IECA, convertir la dosis de un IECA a la dosis de otro IECA, y encontrar las equivalencias de eficacia hipolipemiante entre las diferentes estatinas, para una misma reducción del nivel de colesterol LDL.
Además, CARDIOEQUIVALENCIAS nos indica las equivalencias en las que es posible reducir la polimedicación mediante la utilización de un policomprimido y así simplificar el tratamiento.
Por su diseño, la aplicación es muy intuitiva y de fácil manejo.
