Description
This Application is created as a capacity building product for facilitation of border management procedures and has the following features:1. Machine Readable Zones reading and validation:
>On-device OCR and parsing MRZ from Doc 9303 ICAO compliant passport and visa to separate fields;
>Verification of all check digits, correctness of dates (e.g. date of birth, dates of validity of the document).
2. Quick Response (QR) code reading and validation option:
>Offline reading of the QR code for validation. This option is a pilot version intended for further development to read the QR codes that will be developed by the IOM’s ACBC and integrated in certain documents (e.g. ID cards).
3. RFID Verification
>The app optically scans (OCR) the Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ) to gain access to the embedded chip by using NFC technology. Thereafter, the app displays the biometric identifier (face) and biographical information of the document holder, as well as document information, after which logical security checks, such as Active Authentication, are performed and detailed results are shown.
4. Facial Matching
>Subsequently, the App will perform the comparison between the biometric identifier from the document holder displayed (RFID picture) with the live picture providing reliable information for facial matching.
