Description
Los árboles y los bosques fueron símbolos de vida y protección en la astrología celta. Los druidas, inspirados en la magia estacional de los bosques, desarrollaron un horóscopo protector ligado a las fases de la luna.Los bosques eran las catedrales para los druidas, en ellos se llevaban a cabo sus fiestas, rituales y ceremonias, el poder de los dioses se encontraba en cada uno de los árboles del bosque. Cada árbol era consagrado a un Dios o simbolizaba una virtud.
Los druidas asociaron cada árbol con una luna de acuerdo a sus propiedades mágicas, creando así un horóscopo compuesto de 21 árboles.
Disclaimer: el "horóscopo celta de los árboles" o "calendario de árbol" es un invento del escritor británico Robert Graves (1895-1985), el cual se inspiró en su superficial estudio del guion Ogham. Graves detalla el sistema en su poético ensayo La diosa blanca (1946). Aunque algunos autores modernos lo han popularizado como el «Calendario de árbol de Graves», no tiene relación alguna con ningún calendario celta histórico.
