Jalgaon Runners Group(JRG) was formed by 6 like-minded people on 14th Feb 2106, namely by Kiran Bachhav, Vikrant Saraf, Nilesh Bhandarkar, Narendrasing Solanki, Avinash Kabra and Dr.Ravi Hirani.The vision of JRG to promote running culture in Jalgaon district to make people more fit and more healthy and injury-free running.
The aims and objectives of JRG are To promote running and endurance activities like cycling, swimming etc in Jalgaon district to improve health and fitness level of Jalgaonkar.
To aware community about health benefits of running.
To organise the marathon, half marathon and various types of run n Jalgaon city and in all taluka places in Jalgaon so to increase tourism, hospitality industries in Jalgaon.
With these social motives in last 18months JRG’s strength has increased from 6 to 175+, the age group ranges from 5 years to 65years of both sexes including Doctors, Engineers, Charted Accounts, Entrepreneurs, Business Community and Students.
We are regularly running in group on every Sunday since June 2016 at North Maharashtra University campus without any miss.
We have also called conducted seminar and experience sharing session of Kaustubh Radkar from Pune (17time Ironman), Amod Bhate from Pune (2times bronze medal winners at comrad Ultra Marathon at South Africa and Elite runner and Khandesh Kanya Mrs.Kranti Salvi from Mumbai for their Guidance at Jalgaon.
We also have one member Sushil Shimpi, Both Legs are artificial is participating in different international marathons.
Recently he had successfully cycling expedition from “MANALI TO KHARDUNGALA-PASS (LEH) of 550+km. He is probably 1st INDIAN both legs are artificial to finish this tough cycling expedition.
