App zur Ausstellung "Geschichte der Dinge. Zur Herkunft von Objekten in nordrhein-westfälischen Sammlungen"Provenienzforschung, also das Erforschen der Herkunft und der Geschichte von Objekten, ist Thema der Wanderausstellung „Geschichte der Dinge“ des Landschaftsverbandes Westfalen-Lippe (LWL). Während bei Ausstellungen zu diesem Thema meist nur ein Sammlungsbereich oder eine Sammlerpersönlichkeit im Fokus stehen, widmet sich die LWL-Ausstellung erstmals dem gesamten Spektrum: Insgesamt zehn Kapitel beschäftigen sich mit den unterschiedlichen Entzugskontexten wie zum Beispiel NS-verfolgungsbedingtem Entzug, Kolonialismus oder DDR-Unrecht, mit verschiedenen Objektgruppen wie Judaika, aber auch mit Akteuren und Strukturen. Die zentrale Frage lautet: Woher kommt das Objekt?
Die App ermöglicht den Besuch der Ausstellung von zu Hause aus, alle zehn Kapitel werden mit umfangreichem Begleitmaterial präsentiert. (Fast) alle Objekte der Ausstellung werden gezeigt und – nur hier – mit zahlreichen weiteren Dokumenten, Audiobeiträgen und Filmen näher erläutert. Jedes Kapitel enthält zudem eine kleine Präsentation, in der eine der Kuratorinnen einzelne Objekte noch einmal persönlich vorstellt. Durch die zahlreichen weiterführenden Hinweise (Broschüren, Internetseiten usw.) bietet die App einen ersten umfassenden Einblick in die Provenienzforschung, in die Arbeit von einschlägigen Institutionen, aber auch zu allgemeinen Zusammenhängen.
