1 ★I haven't tried to use this app in months because the constant loading was annoying. I updated it today and decided to try it. It took me 10 minutes to watch the 1st 5 minutes of an episode with loading happening every 5 or 10 seconds. Then I got the error message that the episode couldn't be played at this time. Why is it the ads always seem to be with no problems? CBS fix your app. This has been an ongoing problem for years. Or better yet, allow your content on Hulu.
1 ★Haven't been able to watch anything for over a month. Anytime I try to watch, I get the message, "sorry, this video is currently unavailable. Please try again." Even before when I could watch, the adds would constantly freeze or take forever to buffer. App is completely unusable at this point. Have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times and still useless. Just a waste of App storage space.
1 ★Won't play videos at all after latest update. Keeps saying I need an internet connection. The same connection let's me know which videos are available in the first place. I've had CBS apps since long before Paramount Plus was a thing. I've tried all the tricks. Still doesn't work. I'm not a programmer but I am also not a luddite. ABC, Fox and NBC work just fine.
5 ★I like the ability to watch the shows that I like, as well as moving back the time progression bar, where the show left off before going to commercials. However, to those who do the scheduling for the app, and perhaps even making sure all the shows are up to date; NCIS New Orleans according to the schedule this coming Sunday night the 25th, is suppose to be part 2 of the episode operation drano, unfortunately there does not seem to be the episode operation drano part one available to watch.
2 ★I really enjoy the shows and can't believe it's free but anytime I try and stream from my phone to Google Chromecast but it stops at every show at about halfway in. I have to go back into the app stop streaming and restart. It's done it 5 times in a row. I've tried reinstalling the app and it didn't fix it. Plus it's the only app that does it. If you would fix that def give you 5 stars!
1 ★Application is useless on a Smart TV. I'm using a TVision Android streaming hub. Clicking the app brings forth blank screen with message an ad is running. Then, it goes black. Hitting the play button may/may not bring up a selection screen. I was finally able to bring up the show I wanted and clicked the episode desired. Nothing. Just a blank screen. The app seems to work on my phone and I was able to cast it to my TV the day before. But, access it through the TV streaming service? Forget it.
2 ★Giving it 2 stars because there is still a lingering issue from the previous CBS app that is still very much prevelant on the new updated version, and a new reocurring issue that just started to happen 2 days ago. One; the app still freezes from time to time during ads, and that freezing carries over to the show sometimes. Two; I keep getting a pop up that says that the app has stopped working, even when I'm not using it it STILL pops up as though I have been, which is annoying!
2 ★App is not very functional using smart phones. App has crashed several times now, and does not pick right back up where you had left off on the show you were watching. It will start from the beginning and make you watch another 3 minutes of ads. Then you can fast forward and pray that you landed in the right spot because your going to be forced to watch another 3 minutes of ads. At this point, I've spent more time watching these stupid ads then the actual show. Will be deleting app
1 ★A dangerous app. I was casting video and could not exit the app. I could not use the square button. I could not use the power down menu. I held the power down button for 15 seconds and succeeded in powering down. Powering up, the phone was in talkback mode. Swiping up at the login screen about 20 times finally allowed me to unlock the phone, but I could not scroll. After a lot of guessing,at what to do I finally was able to turn off talkback. This was very frustrating. I don't recommend this app
3 ★Edited: After force quitting app & restarting mobile, was able to watch on phone with hardly any issues. Still unusable with cast to TV function even after rebooting TV. ............. When trying to cast to TV: Besides being very glitchy during play, Freezes at first ad and then does nothing. Doesn't crash; can't exit out without returning to the same place (first ad). As is, can only barely watch the beginning part of the show before ads attempt to load but never do. Unusable. 👎👎
1 ★What a joke. I downloaded this app then couldn't do anything unless I sign up for their service when your supposed to be able to watch episodes after they air. I definitely couldn't do that. Tried on my TV but adds kept repeating or restating several times, and the show would freeze up, sometimes started over. I never did get to watch the complete episode even after trying over 3 hours
2 ★I love cbs it has most of my shows I watch but, it's got bugs. I can be in the middle of a show n it starts to buffer then tells me it cannot play this show. Sometimes it says try again later but most times it just won't finish playing that show or episode. I have good connection (although it's slow at certain X's) n plenty of data. I hate it when it's a movie n I miss the ending. Otherwise I love u cbs. Thank u for the free stuff I do get to watch.
