MaliKaKeneya soutient l’Initiative Agent de Santé Communautaire Sentinelle (ASC-S) au Mali, une initiative du Ministère de la Santé et Affaires Sociales (MSAS) qui s'inscrive dans un effort plus large visant à mobiliser les communautés contre la COVID-19, tout en renforçant le système sanitaire existant et en assurant la continuité des soins au niveau communautaire.L’initiative ASC-Sentinelle a deux objectifs principaux :
(1) Identifier la transmission communautaire COVID-19 cachée afin de mieux orienter la réponse et d’interrompre la chaîne d'infection avant que la transmission communautaire ne se généralise
(2) Assurer la continuité des soins pour d'autres maladies et services clés qui risquent d'être interrompus dans le contexte de l'épidémie de la COVID-19
Pour realiser ces objectifs, le paquet offert par les ASC-S comprend :
(1) Dépistage de la COVID-19 et orientation vers les services de prélèvement
(2) Dépistage et traitement des cas simples de paludisme et de pneumonie, et orientation des cas compliqués au niveau du CSCOM
(3) Dépistage de la tuberculose et orientation vers les services de test
(4) Vérification du statut de vaccination des enfants
En déployant les ASC-S, le Ministre de la Santé et des Affaires Sociales vise à la fois à poursuivre la lutte contre la COVID-19 ET à prévenir les interruptions dans les principaux services de santé maternelle et infantile.
