Track temperatures from Signals, BlueDOT, and Smoke Gateway on your smart device.
BlueDOT utilizes your smart devices' Bluetooth to receive information with a communication range up to 95-feet line-of-sight. You can connect up to 6 BlueDOT devices to ThermoWorks BBQ app to set alarms, track min/max, and collect graph data.
Smoke Gateway connects to the internet via Wi-Fi to transmit and store information in the cloud. This allows ThermoWorks BBQ app to review your temperatures, receive alerts, and view graph data from anywhere.
Signals uses both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which allows for easy setup and different modes of connecting to Signals, so you can track your cook in any situation. Bluetooth allows you to connect directly to your phone or tablet, up to 95-feet line-of-sight, so you can use Signals if there is no internet connection. Wi-Fi allows you to track your cook through the internet and cloud from anywhere. Signals will switch automatically between the two to give you the best experience.
You can connect multiple Signals, Smoke Gateway, and BlueDOT devices to ThermoWorks BBQ app simultaneously, giving you an overall dashboard of your temperatures.
App Requirements: Signals, BlueDOT, or Smoke by ThermoWorks & Smoke Gateway. 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Network with Internet Connection for Smoke Gateway and Signals.

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Pretty miserable experience to get this thing working . Bluetooth doesn't connect. Firmware updates required to use the thermometer and most of the time they fail making the thermometer useless. A brick with dashes on the screen. Follow the troubleshooting guide only to loop back around to the same issue. Offer firmware updates but do not make them required for the thing to function. I can do this on my own time when I'm not prepping for a cook.
2 ★I am a huge thermoworks fan so opted signals over fireboard. I wanted the thermoworks accuracy. Signals as a thermometer works great. The app and connectivity just are not up to par. Graphs which I want hardly work. I have google mesh so signal is strong. It amazes me they dont even care after all the bad reviews of the app. I still love it for the display at the smoker. Just hope someday they will listen to customers. There is now too many competitors to put out a bad product.
1 ★Absolute garbage. Thermoworks contracts with a third party company to create the app, but insists users use their customer service reps as middle men when they know nothing about creating an app. They only provide lip service. Supposedly there is a firmware update, but cannot even get the gateway to connect to the internet to force the update. Thermoworks should be absolutely embarrassed, I will NEVER buy another product from them, and I WILL make sure everyone I know is well aware of my experience with their products and customer service.
1 ★The Signals device is great. The app is offensive, at best. The device is marketed as able to work offline, and talk to the app via bluetooth only. But the app refuses to function until you create an account and log in. On top of that, the app refuses to connect to the device until you give it permission for GPS location. Revoking that permission after connection causes the app to instantly disconnect! You are selling a thermometer. You have NO right to collect personal usage & location data!
2 ★Works well.... When it works. Bad connectivity. Can't seem to set up wifi on it as it always disconnects from my phone if I get to far away. Graph sucks. Fireboard has a much better app. That being said, the device itself works great. But I got this one because of the wifi capability and if thermoworks doesn't get this fixed I will return it and switch to a fireboard.
2 ★Displays different data then what the Signals unit is actually reading. Currently the app thinks I have three sensors in but I am only using two. Can't get it to align, silly app.
1 ★Works fine with a BlueDot and a s7. However, a thermometer app should not need me to sign up for an account and require location data to work. UPDATE: So when I try to use this app every few weeks I can never get the BlueDot to reconnect. I have to remove and re-add the device to the app to get it to connect. It's hard to imagine a company with fantastic hardware products would release such garbage software, but here we are.
2 ★I use ThermoWorks thermometer probes with Smoke and am generally happy with the hardware. However, the software for the ThermoWorks BBQ WiFi bridge, which includes this app, is not designed well. First, my attempts to pair the bridge with my WiFi network failed. I had to send the device back to the manufacturer for a software upgrade, which fixed that problem. The app freezes once or twice an hour, requiring killing and restarting it. Fortunately, the data is saved, so it kind of works.
1 ★Product is excellent, app for Android is horrible I had to set up using an iOS device on both the Smoke and the Signals product. Would not set up using my Samsung S9+ Repeatedly locks up and crashes. I don't feel comfortable leaving the house because of the app crashing. I expected to be able to run errands and monitor, but it is not reliable enough without closing the app and restarting continuously. C'mon ThermoWorks, you are better than this.
1 ★The only reason the app exists is to collect your personal data. Bought BlueDot, installed the app. The app asked to create an account. Seriously, an account to run a glorified thermometer? Fine, created an account. Do I want to give this app access to my location data? Absolutely not. Now the app is failing to connect to BlueDot that is sitting 2 feet away. The phone's BT can actually see the device but the app cannot. Shame, Thermoworks products used to be the best in class.
2 ★I've had this device for over a year and I just now got the gateway working. I cannot fathom why there would not be a statement on the app description FRONT AND CENTER telling people that there is a firmware update for the Smoke Gateway. I'm looking forward to actually using my expensive gateway. other reviews indicate I'm not going to enjoy it much. First impression is there is no way to increase the polling rate.
1 ★Own the Signals thermometer. I'm very disappointed at the inconsistency of this app. I end up calling customer service each time I use it and experience different issues and remedies each time. Once it's finally it working, something mysterious happens and I lose connection and can't get it to reconnect the same way twice. I really wanted this to work but it just flat out doesn't. I don't like the fact there is nearly ZERO ways to leave a review other than here, this thing DOESN'T WORK.
