Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★Horrible app. Couldn't even sign in. Why even publish this?
2 ★The flashing of the stories when you tap them to scroll is so annoying I cannot give higher than two stars. It makes the app irritating and unusable.
3 ★I am probably going to go back to using a browser. Following links from one article to another in the app is painfully slow (even after I can see the article on my screen I have many seconds to wait before the loading icon clears... Possibly waiting for SoundCloud or so other embed down near the bottom). A less annoying issue is that after following a link mid-article any kind of back function seems to jump me back to the first article, even when I'm several levels deep.
1 ★Pure propaganda for the Chicago establishment. Not to mention the writing is very poor.
1 ★I love DNAINFO. Im sick of hearing the same news story from AP on other news outlets. DNAINFO is what real journalism should be. This app on the other hand is terrible. It always wants you to login. Never remembers your login. You type comments and they disappear. No social networking integration. I don't know why DNAINFO would keep this app provider. They should leave them and get someone new who will actually help them grow market share.
2 ★After months of never having a notification actually link to the story alerted I gave up and installed it. Searching is nonexistent. Finding any specific story or a neighborhood feed is impossible. Monstrously disappointing app - I guess not everyone should make an app, they should just stick to the mobile site.
5 ★When I try to log in, I get an invalid login message, and there is no apparent way to reset the password. ***Okay, I revised my rating after figuring out that I can reset my password by going to their website. Great source for local news. I like the app. Much easier then getting the same info through emails.
2 ★... when trying to pick a neighbouhood ... thereby I can not even open the app properly :-///
1 ★Can't use the application, won't let me register an email
