With Yle Kielikoulu - Yle Språkskolan you can watch Yle’s programs and get help to develop your Finnish or Swedish language while learning everything about Finland. This is the app for you who is a refugee, newly arrived or other immigrant to Finland.- Click words and expressions in closed captions in Finnish and get language support to six common immigrant languages. For closed captions in Swedish get language support to twenty-five common immigrant languages. See full lists below.

- Get recommended programs for those new to the language and Finland.
- Use smart filters to find program of right LENGTH (short or long) and DIFFICULTY (easy, intermediate, difficult)
- Get a list of your latest viewed programs for easy access and repetition
- Explore your vocabulary in a visual overview and follow the progress of your own Learning profile
- Gamification: monitor your activity with graphs and set personal learning goals
- Optionally connect or register a user account for back-up and synchronizing your Learning profile.
