3 ★Neatly designed app with a clean user experience. I tried others and they're overwhelming with useless information and social media fluff. One PROBLEM the devs could easily fix is the food search. It's very poor. For example if you search "wendys fries" the result you want is way down the list, after entries like "yam fries" and others which don't even contain the words you searched. For this reason, and the PRICE, i can't give it any more than 3 stars
4 ★Super easy to use, keeps you focused one week at a time. I've been on fat loss, maintenance, and reverse diets with it. Down 25lbs and 2% bf in 3 months, eating what I want. Not a full 5 stars because as someone coming from not tracking to starting I had a hard time with the app learning me. I suggest for anyone new to track, watch the videos on activity levels and set up, then start with a couple weeks of maintenance eating while it learns you.
5 ★Incredible app. Just trust the process! This is hands down the most incredible food tracking app I've been used. Very user friendly and I've been able to reach my weight goals and fat loss goals. I'm not here to tell you the app is magic at fat loss, nope.. YOU put in the work. Follow the program, be consistent, give yourself some grace, and you'll see results!
1 ★Given its from Layne Norton, and how expensive it is, I had high expectations. The activity level setting is quite good, but unfortunately the good finishes there! The tracker is pretty much useless, I think it's picked up maybe 20% of foods whereas myp is closer to 90%. I tried it for a week, but switched back to mfp as the free version of mfp is actually better. I emailed and there seems to be a complete lack of care for anyone criticising it. Waste of £10!
5 ★Love the app so far! MFP was seriously underestimating how many calories I needed at maintenance. I love that this app adjusts your targets based on your results. I would really like to be able to see things like how much fiber or potassium I've had in a day, but those are pretty minor and not enough to drop to 4 stars.
2 ★I'm a big fan of Layne Norton, but honestly this should not be released here in the UK in its current state. Its a great app, but unless you can be bothered entering 90% of your foods this app is a waste here. It doesn't compare to MFP when it comes to it's food database. If this improves in the future I'll give it another go for sure, but as of January 2021 don't waste your time, you'll just end up looking for a refund like I did.
4 ★Adjusts calories and macros! This is NOT a meal tracker. It generates your target calories and macros based on the data you input. You enter food daily and weight daily, have a weekly check in. The app will adjust your calories and macros if needed, for your goal. No ads since you pay for it! You can plan your meals ahead, and adjust your calories for the week if you're planning on dining out. They have videos on YouTube and host a live on their social media weekly for Q&A, & have a FB group.
4 ★Giving this app 4 stars for the coaching aspect. It's very good. It loses a star coz it's annoyingly slow. Contacted support and sent a screen recording and they replied to say "that's normal". I can see other reviews have addressed this problem too. So no, it's not normal for other apps. It would also be good if it took non compliant weeks and their macros into consideration too.
5 ★I love this app. It's not a food tracker--although that is one of its features--but an actual nutrition coaching app. I have been using Carbon for several months now and it has helped me reach my goals during that time. The app is wonderful and so is all of the additional info that the Carbon Diet Coach team shares through social media. Thank you Carbon Diet Coach!
5 ★Thank you Carbon Diet Coach! Loving the app so far. This week I started using the planner. I also added a blank meal to the end of my day so I can play around with meal macros and not mess up anything I have already entered. It is truly such a simple and useful feature. The app is so easy to use and FAST TO TRACK which is really what everyone needs. I am only a few months into Macro tracking, and so excited I found you guys!
5 ★This is hands down the best coach ever. I've done MFP and RP, nothing worked for me without being super extreme (hello meal timing, 1609 cals and almost no carbs!) Now I'm eating over 2200 cals and losing weight! It's genius. It's also pennies compared to some other coaches. Download it now, you won't be disappointed.
5 ★This is THEE most valuable piece of equiptment I own. I wish I would have used this sooner and saved thousands in coaching. Be consistent, do the work, its literally a coach in your pocket. If you are an experienced 'dieter,' this is a no brainer. If you are new to 'dieting' this is for you....
