L'application Tropilég est dédiée aux problématiques phytosanitaires affectant les cultures légumières (et les tubercules tropicaux) des départements et régions d'outre-mer (DROM ou anciennement DOM) (Guadeloupe, Guyane, Martinique, Mayotte, La Réunion), de certaines collectivités d'outre-mer (COM) (Wallis et Futuna, Polynésie-française), et de Nouvelle-Calédonie. Elle a pour objectif d'aider les techniciens et les producteurs à identifier les maladies et les ravageurs affectant ces cultures, mais aussi à choisir des méthodes de protection respectueuses de l'environnement, et donc durables.Fruit notamment de missions réalisées dans les DROM, elle a été construite grâce aux connaissances et à l'expertise de plusieurs contributeurs appartenant à divers organismes de recherche et de développement de ces différentes zones de production.
