The Balboa Worldwide App (bwa™), is an app for your Android® device that allows you to access your hot tub via a direct connection anywhere in the local proximity of your tub, anywhere in your house that you can connect to your local WiFi network, or anywhere in the World you have an internet connection to your smart device via 3G, 4G, or WiFi hot spots.
With the bwa™ app, you can ensure that your hot tub will be ready whenever you want to take a dip. Instead of going outside and pressing buttons on the topside panel, the app lets you start the tub and change settings from your smartphone or tablet.
The App provides full interface control so you can set the temperature, turn pumps on and off and even set filtration cycles.

1 ★Had new spa installed yesterday and this app is simply not fit for purpose. We have very good and fast wifi, everything is in close proximity and the app is intermittent often not connecting. 1 star is too generous for this disaster of an app.
3 ★The older version of this app was more stable. This app requires logging in every time and is slow. It does work once you spend a few hours trial and error setting it up.
1 ★Won't connect to the spa 95% of the time. Was working great then one day just stopped communicating with the tub. Good luck getting it to work consistently.

1 ★Just terrible app. Rarely works. Randomly switches on the blower sometimes when I open app.
3 ★Really not a good app. Constant disconnects, half the time icons don't show accurate status, and why in the world would it not show the temp you set it to, only current temp? Please hire someone better to fix up this app. 10/25: updating rating. App is more stable, and while it does often disconnect it does work. One thing I'd love to see built in is scheduling to be able to have temp go up for example at 6pm and back to a lower temp at 10pm.
1 ★DON'T buy Balboa if you want remote access, buy Gecko! After a year of waiting finnaly the 'all new improved' app was available! But nope, it's no better at all, the menus don't flow, next steps don't happen, it can't connect via cloud, basically NOTHING works! Not even on a new phone with latest updates. There really needs to be a zero star option as 1 is too good. Found the old app on Google and installed that one, it's bad but at least it occasionally works!
1 ★Not intuitive at all. Good thing a have another phone with 2.7 on it. At least it worked over Internet and mobile data. Balboa needs to put 2.7 back on the Play Store. Just talked with my spa guy today. He could not get his customers WiFi going either. And he is the tech guy. Jeez! MARCH 12TH UPDATE. In conjunction with the techs at BWA my spa Wi-Fi is up and running! The module that had been replaced was defective. After another module was installed my spa works as advertised. Thank You BWA
1 ★The "menu" pops up constantly and blocks the UI, when hitting local connect it shows a spinner and then fails, showing the menu again, even though it updated the UI in the background. In the rare case it connects properly it does not update the set temperature. Special feature: the cloud account does not allow special characters in the password, that's a new one 🤣
1 ★Terrible worse than the last app Cannot connect on iCloud App says it does not support the hot tub signal and only bought the hot tub last year. Truly awful and have wasted far too much time trying to get it to work Managed to get a local connection in the end but no use to me for my business. And the local connection is unclear in any event. Last app was better. Very annoying.
3 ★Really basic app. Had the connection issues others have complained about, but lately don't see it very often. Two big feature misses for this app: 1) why can't I change Ready/Rest mode from the app?? Really dumb that I have to go the spa to change something that you need to change when you want the spa to continously ramp up to a higher temp. 2) why can't I set a schedule when I want the spa to be at a certain temperature?
