1 ★App will not work after current update wont log in times out .thankyou for killing this app and as for alexa its advertised as working with it doesn't work unless you turn all lights off is only way it gets any response from alexa. So for the money spent on these light 2 so far is a con AVOID IF YOU CAN
2 ★The app is really bad but it works. The trick is to turn off your mobile data. You should either be connected to your non 5g WiFi network or to the WiFi hotspot for the bulb but not your data. The first time you connect to the bulb WiFi hotspot, your phone will give you a prompt to confirm that you want to stay connected to the bulb. Say yes and check the 'don't ask me again' (if you get it). App keeps crashing if you connect to your data in the middle of installation. Good luck.
1 ★Didn't want to even leave one star..ordered this bulb on Ebay and I can't get a connection through the app at all..got a bulb the week before from poundland for the same price and didn't have a problem..waste of money don't buy them
1 ★The app is designed to control smart devices. Unfortunately, it fails to do so most of the time. It constantly looses connection with devices and requires hard reset of the device to reconnect. They also provide Alexa Skill which should integrate voice control, but the issue is that this skill doesn't work either due to some cloud server issues. One of my devices is constantly unresponsive for Alexa and even factory reset didn't help. So far, I had to constantly communicate with support.
3 ★Eventually got the light to connect. For anyone struggling, when you connect to the light AP, just wait a couple of mins (still in the android wifi screen), it will eventually reconnect back to your wifi automatically. At this point connect back to the light bulb and try to set it up now. Worked for me after stuffing around for an hour trying to get it to work. Now it works great , no issue with speed or scheduling, dimming, etc.
4 ★App needs work. In registration, it says phone #/e-mail when it doesn't send out code to email. Only #s will work and then it sends out code. Remove e-mail so people don't enter 1 when it doesn't send out a code to e-mail. 3rd, in the wifi instructions, it should say user's 2.4g wifi info so users don't enter their 5g. After connecting, it should tell users to search for techlife wifi address. If they can't find it, they should power the lamp off five times. 4th, in the google home app, it says' bedroom light, please change it to room lights as it doesn't have to be bedroom. 5th, if bulbs can't change color, it should say that rgb color not supported. I've tried in google home and the colors don't change. I shouldn't need youtube "techlife pro" to go get instructions on this app. It should be intuitive. There are a lot of typos on your menu "cancle" when it should be cancel. Please check your work by having a clueless person who doesn't know your product use your app to set it up for the first time.
1 ★Cannot login, gives me an server error all the time. Uninstalled and installed several times, no luck. It was working perfectly fine before
1 ★Not even worth the 1 star. Not only did lights stop working with alexa within 24 hrs (said couldn't communicate with bulbs), they stopped working on app too. App constantly says lights could not be added then comes up with all set up only to not appear in app. Don't waste yr money unless you want to buy expensive bulbs that you still need to physically hit the switch. 24 hrs later and I'm ordering more from somewhere else
1 ★Got it to work eventually and I thought great , sadly the lights turns on when the app fails, so 4am is not fun, now I often can't even log into the app, or Google or alexa cannot communicate with the bulbs.. if the connections and the app worked 100% of the time it would be great.. I have even rebooted and 're downloaded everything.. don't waste your money
1 ★I wonder if i can rate 0 star. It was good in the beginning. But soon after, every devices added to techlife can't be reach. No matter how strong my internet are. Google home keep saying couldn't reach techlife. What is the point of having the smart bulb where i can control using a command but i keep on switching on/off the main switch to keep techlife connected to internet! Such a trash.
5 ★I had issues connecting the bulbs to my WiFi and instead of leaving a bad review I contacted the company. Within 5 days they made 2 updates in the app and I was able to connect the bulbs to the WiFi with no problem. People don't understand how this technology works and that you need to make aware the company of the actual issue to get it resolved. I am extremely satisfied from the product and the support.
1 ★Everything was working fine until now. I am starting to get the following error: "Connection timeout, please check wether the network is work!" My connection is fine and the internet is working properly. REALLY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The developers need to work harder on making the connection more consistent.
