Diese App wird im Auftrag der Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen SBB bereitgestellt.Sie ist Teil eines Service der SBB zur Verortung von Personal in spezifischen Bereichen der SBB Infrastruktur. Sie kann nur von Angestellten der SBB sowie Mitarbeitenden von beauftragten Firmen im Rahmen der Zusammenarbeit innerhalb SBB-geführter Einsätze genutzt werden.
Die erhobenen Positionsdaten werden erst im Verbund mit einer prozessunterstützenden App genutzt, z.B. der App Ortung GBT / CBT zur Koordination von Personenbewegungen bei Wartungseinsätzen in komplexen Tunnelbauwerken.
Die Nutzung der App erfordert die Freischaltung durch autorisierte SBB Angestellte. Zusätzlich muss die Ortung durch die Mitarbeitenden selbst z.B. im Rahmen des Dienstantritts gestartet werden.
