Most electronically stored images are pixel graphics as generated by cameras, scanners, and graphics software. For some use cases this is not a suitable format. Especially when scaling up an image you will see pixels and artefacts from interpolation. Scaling up is needed for making banners, big logos, printing or stitching on cloths, offering web graphics for arbitrary devices with unknown screen resolution and many more occasions. For this purpose you can vectorize an image which makes it lossless scalable. Unfortunately most image tracing software products are either pricy or bad. Some products are both. TraceIt! fills in this gap by providing an affordable app that renders pixel images to high quality vector graphics.
