Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

2 ★The app is nice, but it refuses to refresh. It's abysmal at refreshing. Not too shocking given how long it has been since it was updated.
1 ★Installed, added The Old Reader access, refreshed aaaaaand...nothing. Dud
1 ★Palabre is Fine. This isn't! Keeps Stopping!
1 ★It keeps crashing, even on different phones and Android versions.
1 ★not working
2 ★Not useful for me without two way sync
1 ★Crashes Palabre when I try to sync.
4 ★Articles read in the app aren't marked as read on the the old reader website.
1 ★Crashes as soon as I add my account and doesn't add my feeds into the main app
3 ★I've been wanting to give the Old Reader a shot and this seemed like a good way to do it. Unfortunately, Feedly works much better on Palabre. Managing sources is easier, the settings fits your chosen theme, sources have icons, and the app doesn't crash when using Feedly as your source. I'll try it again some other time if it is improved, but at the moment, I'm sticking with Feedly.
1 ★I liked the Palabre look and feel but without proper The Old Reader sync, the app is useless
