Description

Track your miles, map your routes, and earn ride streaks for your daily errands and commutes. The best part? You don't have to do a thing. Just hop on your bike and Ride will automatically log your ride and take care of the rest.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Install the app
You’ll be up and running in less than a minute.

2. Ride your bike
The Ride app intelligently detects that you're biking and starts logging for you.

3. Track your stats
Get rewarded for multi-day ride streaks, riding in the rain, and more.

LET'S MAKE BIKING BETTER
Riders from Turin to Portland are using Ride to help make biking better. Every trip you take contributes to your city's Bike Stress Map, which helps other riders discover the best routes – and helps cities fix the worst ones.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★Knocking it back a star until this "Ride is checking to see if you've started a new trip" message is fixed. I don't care if it is checking! Exactly what I was looking for. I love that it records automatically. It has been accurate identifying rides. Sometimes it considers a long wait at a signal as a trip end but no problem as it starts again. Second point on each trip is quite some distance from beginning so it makes a long straight segment and then is accurate the rest of the way. Love the idea that my trips might be used by planners to improve infrastructure.
3 ★The app is a great idea and the starting and stopping each ride without any interaction works good. It would be nice to rate sections of a route rather than the entire route. Not every route is binary "Great" or "Not Great". Some roads have bike infrastructure whereas you take your life in your hands on other roads. There are circle icons in the app that shows some kind of data with clouds, umbrella's and colors with percentages, but no key to tell you what they mean. The trophies are okay, but I'd rather have better data analysis than trophies. Not everything needs to be gamified. Lastly, there is no way to combine rides. If I get stuck at a long light it stops my ride then when I go again in logs another ride. Let me combine them into one.
1 ★Ride recognition is rubbish. Every drive, or walk is a bike ride even at 100kph+. Somehow decided sitting on my sofa was some kind of light rail trip even though nothing in the city let alone the outer suburbs. Lastly it's now missed 2 rides I've done one of which ruined my streak and also nearly missed a 300 mile month. The auto logging and trophy/badges are the only reason for this app. What's the point if they don't work. Disappointing. Edit: Doesn't appear to be being worked on anymore.
2 ★No good since it became Ride
1 ★I love the idea of being able to automatically record my rides (1-star there). However, this app records accurately when I drive my car but not when I'm riding my bicycle. To make matters worse, I cannot edit the records post-ride.
3 ★Love the concept. I just care about the distance. Trophies are cute andmotivational but could be more global (I'd love to know I biked acrossEgypt!) though the weather one is questionable. Love that it starts andstops on its own though I have problems with it stopping as in othercomments... 18 miles into a 25 mile ride, not even at a stop, dropped thesignal. Ride ended. Needs to have manual entry and/or ability to edit anentry. Too many times it missed my short work transit completely. Rollerskate/blade option?
2 ★Has not logged over 30 rides in last 4 months it does log rides occasionally
3 ★Could be a good tracking app. Unfortunately it opens too often in thebackground when I am not biking. After ride rating pops up multiple times.I uninstalled it, Google fit tracks better. They should just borrow appdata and forward that on to their community engagement work.
1 ★Logged distances are inaccurate and results cannot be corrected. Createmore explanation for meaning of symbols. Good for showing route on map, assessing quality of tide and amount of CO2 saved. Bike Challenge links w/app so I don't have manual entry. Has great promise.
2 ★This has the makings of a good app, but it's still rather immature. My experience over three months or so is that it does record all my bike rides, but - steep hills can be interpreted as walking, and a short pause at a junction or for a chat causes the app to think the ride is ended. Sometimes the app will work out that a ride is still happening and join up the segments, but not always. Missing are options to set user preferences (such as the pause time before ending a ride), the units to record in (mine measures in miles, not kilometres). Annoying is the apparent assumption that that the world consists of the USA, evidenced by 'trophies' for 'riding across some State', and the time it takes to display a local map to check what sort of ride the app thinks it has registered. And refusing to display a map after I click the icon "because we don't have enough data" is just daft - Google has a perfectly good map of New Zealand, as do all the other mapping organisations. Good is the auto-start, and auto logging rides with "Love to ride".
2 ★Several weeks in and finding this app to be pretty unreliable. It oftencompletely misses rides and calculates incorrect distances. As an example, riding the EXACT same route from work to home and from home to workconsistently has different distances.
3 ★I like being able to give feedback on the routes I take in Portland, and Ilike that they're (or were) sharing that data with the city, but I reallycouldn't stand the bell that rang every time I stopped. There's no optionto turn it off in the app. I uninstalled it because of this.
