3 ★The app is easy to use, but Yahoo's basic fantasy structure is horribly flawed. Playoffs for the championship should not be one single week, especially the final week of the season when many players are held out by contenders for rest and by non-contenders so that less-experienced players can be given opportunity.
4 ★Really nice app. It really is. The only quirk that makes me bump this app from a 5 to 4, is the inability to create your own predraft order before your draft starts. You can do it on the desktop but not on the mobile app. And if you can do it on the app, then it's near impossible to find, as I tried looking EVERYWHERE with no avail.
3 ★I normally really like Yahoo products. But in the past, I've used the ESPN fantasy app, and it seems so much better. My biggest complaint is during my draft, the system glitched and auto drafted for me while I was in the app. I'm still annoyed with the pick it made for me, definitely not a pick I would have made.
5 ★I've been commisioning a fantasy football league for 6 seasons. Been playing for 13. I've used just about every fantasy platform available. Yahoo gives you more flexibility with scoring systems than the others. Yahoo sends scoring update notifications so you don't have to stay completely glued to the app when some others don't. Yahoo keeps track of your entire fantasy career within their platform when others don't. Hands down, Yahoo gives you the most complete fantasy experience available.
2 ★The app works just fine for managing your fantasy team. The only issue I have is that the app sends FAR TOO MANY notifications about fantasy articles and advice that I can't turn off without losing notifications about the health statuses of my players. I find the barrage of notifications very annoying!
3 ★Yahoo Fantasy has been my favorite fantasy football app over the years, but this year it feels like the quality has fallen off. A lot of the stats I used to reference that used to be free have been locked behind a paywall. The draft room was very unstable this year and kept disconnecting me right as I was about to make my picks, causing my team to auto draft a couple times. To rub it all in, these new chatgpt-generated match recaps are abysmal.
2 ★Can't turn off misc notifications. In the app it says "Something went wrong" when I try to open Miscellaneous Notifications which means I'm getting too many dumb notifications. I don't want to turn off all notifications, like notifications of player status, but I guess I will have to. Fix this!
3 ★its a very good app but i prefer ESPN's, i like how ESPN's sets up players in individual categories for example if i want to pick up a rb, i get the top 3 rbs, wrs.... I just updated my star rating, it definitely dropped because signing in just took so long. In response to the developer, all the stuff I mentioned is without upgrading to espn plus or whatever.
3 ★I've used yahoo for fantasy for 10+ years and loved it for most of that time. This is the first year it's been super glitchy. I have to sign in and out to access multiple leagues, which is annoying. Now today, 10/3/23, it won't open because it has a bug. Not a great thing to happen on a Tuesday.
1 ★I've been a yahoo fantasy app user for years.....until yesterday. The app wouldn't open, so I cleared the cache. That didn't work. So, I rebooted the phone. That didn't work. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Now I can't see or access any of the 20+ teams I have. Tech support keeps telling me that must have logged in under another address and or password, when I haven't. I've used the same one for years. It's amazing how these "so called" experts can't fix a problem, only blame you.
1 ★The bugs in the app caused a free agent add to not go through for my team. This is ridiculous. There are very limited features on the app. You have to often use backdoor access or workarounds because of its limitations. It often crashes or doesnt even load to begin with. The app really makes me want to try other platforms for fantasy sports.
1 ★It's not a good app. Many missing features. For example, the Android version of the app does not have a dark mode. Also, you can't get into your profile history to view your last year's teams or rosters to select your keepers, etc. Currently, you have to use the website version through a web browser, and even then, it's a pain. Additionally, you can't see a league's all-time league history from the app. No point in having an app if a user has to use a workaround for needed functionality.
