Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

2 ★Now that I see false headlines coming up just to attract viewers ,than later on the article changes . I'm greatly disappointed with the Edmonton journal
3 ★Great app. My only complaint is what you consider breaking news and what I do is vastly different. Guy appeals murder conviction? Nope. Obama makes speach as scheduled? Nope. And this morning it was stocks down for the 10th day this year, nope
2 ★Two problems jump out: the app forces you to rotate your tablet (Admittedly a simple annoyance, but a persistent one) and...why read local news when you can just reread news releases and PR. The revolution will not be televised because there are few local reporters left.
1 ★Newspaper and their ethics take a nose dive, only fitting their once quite good app does the same.
4 ★I for one like that comments have been discontinued. The level of 'debate' in the comments usually left a lot to be desired anyway, and that's putting it mildly. Those who really want to comment on a topic can send a letter to the editor, just like the old days. At least that way it should force the writer to put some thought into what is being said, not just some knee-jerk borderline abusive drivel that makes a 6 year old look wise.
1 ★I knew it'd be bad. How'd I know that? Because it was good. And you dont mess with a good thing for no reason. The removal of commenting on articles is so terrible. It was one of the best parts of this app.
1 ★No longer able to view videos. What a shame. I used to enjoy this app.
2 ★Not being able to share comments really sucks. How is a community supposed to share ideas on topics.
1 ★I should just use Facebook app then, to interact with other readers.
1 ★Twice I've emailed and they can't be bothered to reply. The app resets to the top of the page after I read an article which forces me to find my place every time and it's annoying!
1 ★The stories don't even open up anymore. Selecting a headline just takes you to another page with a picture and the headline repeated. This is either a flaw in the app, or an editorial decision to only publish headlines. The actual stories seen to be too much trouble for the journal to publish.
1 ★Liked that readers could make comments. Provided a better more balanced perspective on what was being reported .... bring that back and I'll be back. Have been trying to use for a week .... find the "news" is poorly reported and not updated much any more. Also hate the orange branding.
