Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★after the Jan 10 2020 update I can no longer use the app. It does not recognize my device and it boots me out every time now. Why are these problems not yet fixed? I'm not the only one according to the reviews!
5 ★Works well!
5 ★Informative
3 ★The app seems unstable. It freezes, doesn't download papers automatically sometimes, and now it wants me to pay $1.99 for a paper I pay for already.
4 ★Works good but hate the part where it shows how many people responded to the article, the numbers hide part of the article
5 ★Works perfectly in portrait view, as if you were flipping a real newspaper.
1 ★very slow
3 ★flaky
1 ★I really liked the previous app. I know people had their issues with it, but I liked it. I wanted to read the news and it let me do that. This new version just keeps crashing. I can't get through a single article without it crashing at least once. It's beyond frustrating and makes it so I can't even use this app anymore. Fix this
2 ★The update turned out to be a downgrade. Unfortunately there is no choice of apps for reading the digital version of the Vancouver Sun. Downloading, reading/navigating and edition works fine. The annoyance is with the inability to keep select editions. The available choices for deletion of editions are to keep the latest 3, 7, 14, 30, or 60 back issues. The previous version was immensely more flexible with respect to deletion. This is a big deal when one is trying to manage limited memory.
1 ★Take forever to download. Try to download the weekend edition, started Saturday morning and now Sunday morning is still downloading. I'm sure dial-up should be faster.
1 ★I had trouble moving to the next age and haven't figured out how to delete copies. Much worse than there virus version.
