1 ★I've used this app for years with no problems, but since November 22nd, 2020, the website launches for a few seconds and then the screen turns black with only a link on top to Homestreet Bank, thus making this KIRO 7 app USELESS! Luckily, KOMO 4 and KING 5 apps continue to work fine-- sorry KIRO 7. UPDATE: After reinstalling the app 3 times and with location & notifications turned off, it appears to be working for now-- crossing my fingers.
1 ★I can't describe my disappointment in this news app. I was looking for news, not constant advertisement. Everytime I got a notification, it never took me to the notification story, but rather to the story I already read. This app wasted my time and notification checks and gave me no better news than googling the news when I want.
1 ★Good for notifications. App sucks beyond that. I don't like how the internal browser keeps you in the app. Also you'll be able to watch about 10-15 seconds of a video before an ad interrupts and stops playing the video. This is all after waiting watching a 20 second ad before watching any news. This app is a mess!
3 ★This app has been helpful (especially in the time of covid19), but the push notifications are out of control. I get 3 every 20 minutes or so that tend to either send me to articles I already read or send me the home page.
1 ★Horrible streaming, abhorrent commercial to open. You would think a "highly rated " news organisation would have a grasp of how to hire IT people. I guess they're just riding CBSs coat tails... Sorry Steve, I'd love to watch you on the news but stream quality is so cosistanly crappy, your station won't let me.
4 ★Okay app. However, not all news featured on the broadcasts are on the app. A few times I wanted to share a news irem, but not able to find on the app. I like the app for checking the news when I don't have time to watch a broadcast, or I'm not home. Thanks, Esther
1 ★This is the only app that won't open. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and I still can't get it to open. I don't know why. All the other tv news apps, like Q13, King5, and Komo4 will open with no problem. I'm very unhappy!
3 ★It would be nice if the content could be cast to my TV via Chromecast. It sucks trying to see, and hear, the important news alerts on my phone when I can cast other sources to my TV where I can see and hear better. Speaking of breaking news alerts, I downloaded the app to get breaking news and updates about this pandemic. But some times when I click the alert, instead of the topic mentioned in the alert I have to sit through a live broadcast where the alert topic is never mentioned.
5 ★It keeps me up to date with all news...local, state, federal, sports and weather accurately. The news is always update frequently, so breaking news is always current.
5 ★I use this mostly for traffic and weather. It is usually spot on for both. The description of where the roads are slow and the severity it's impact on driving conditions is of great help in making sure I allow enough time to get to where I am going.
2 ★I would give this app a much higher rating except that it is extremely annoying that the KIRO7 app forces you to watch an advertisement for the KIRO7 app before every single news clip you watch within the KIRO7 app! WTH? I'm already using the app so WHY pray tell do you force me to watch advertisements for it over and over and over and over..... (insert facepalm here)
4 ★I really like that I can get live local news on my cell phone, but, it can be a little buggy and stops responding sometimes, but, that seems to be getting better
