A academia de Jiu-Jitsu, Percio Gym, localizada na região de Osasco (SP), é o resultado de um sonho do lutador Percio Gonçalves.Percio Gonçalves é um lutador da modalidade, de 36 anos idade, que encontrou sua paixão nas artes marciais e fez dela seu hobby principal e fonte de renda. Iniciou sua carreira na academia Godói, localizada em São Paulo (SP), atualmente conhecida como G13.
Desde o início intuito era transformar o hobby (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / BJJ) em profissão. Para isso, foi necessário enfrentar alguns desafios como conciliar tempo e dinheiro entre estudos e responsabilidades pessoais, como pai e profissional. Mas como um bom atleta, os obstáculos só foi um incentivo para ele seguir em frente.
Em 2008, Percio foi convidado a dar aula na academia Thunder, também na região de Osasco , e começou a sua carreira como competidor. Nesse ano, ele conquistou a faixa marrom, fazendo com que, sua paixão pelo BJJ só aumentasse.
Após três anos de faixa marrom o lutador conquista sua faixa preta pelas mãos do mestre Júlio Pinheiro, tendo assim a oportunidade de abrir sua própria academia. Um dos seus alunos, Renato Andrieta ofereceu um espaço para a realização desse sonho, que hoje, recebe o nome de Percio Gym.
