Windy City West Indian Carnival is a festival and colorful parade that takes place on the third Saturday of August and has attracted tens of thousands of spectators and vendors from all over the world. It is a family-oriented cultural event with live entertainment, children’s activities, and authentic Caribbean cuisine. A popular Street Parade of Bands showcases colorful handmade costumes, authentic steel pan music and traditional dance performances.
