般若波罗蜜多心经， 简称为《般若心经》或《心经》，因它是 600 卷《大般若经》的精华，也是大乘佛法的心要，故称《心经》。它是中国佛教界自古以来流通最广的一部经典。《心经》是佛教般若系的经典。而般若为出生诸佛之母，亦是一切经典的根源。般若二字，华译为智慧，但它不同于一般所说的聪明智慧，而是如实知见一切事物 “事实真相” 的真智妙慧，能使人明自心、见自性、了生死、证涅槃。
佛陀一生讲经说法 49 年，却用了 22 年说诸部《般若经》，可见般若经在佛法中的重要性。尤其这一部《心经》，它具体地阐释般若之无上妙义, 乃帮助世人达致究竟圆满成佛之领域的宝典, 实在非同凡响, 堪称弥足珍贵!
