How to install Y-cam APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download Y-cam APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)

2 ★UPDATE - 8/14/2019: Push notifications are no longer working; this seems to be a common issue reported in the past couple weeks. It may be tied to the Android security patch dated 8/1 - mine stopped working as soon as I installed that update. I reached out to Y-Cam customer service over the weekend, but have yet to receive a response. Thankfully email notifications are working, but this app is still wildly unreliable. Notifications work properly most of the time, but actually opening the app and trying to watch video clips almost always crashes the app.
1 ★The ycam hardware is great but the software is slow and buggy. Motion recording setting will spontaneously deactivate itself and the first you know about it is when you go to look at a recording and find out that the function switched itself off a month ago! Support at ycam are no help at all. Short of checking that motion recording is set to 'on' every day, I don't know what to do. Not fit for purpose.
1 ★The camera itself is good. The app must have been made, in the dark, by invisible fish!!! The app never opens. I've have extremely cheap cameras with better software. I don't think the developers even test anything they do. So, without a working app, the camera is useless. It won't connect well to wifi. I gotta amazing internet. I know this, because of the devices I've used with it. The user manual is small with not much in it. There's no cables that would allow me to just connect the camera to my phone. Having software install this way, plus a wired connection, would make more sense. This app doesn't even deserve 1 star.
2 ★App is laggy and crashes from time to time, especially when switching back to it from another app. Location Recording is totally useless and frequently fails to turn motion recording on when I leave, or leaves it on when I come back. Also it's not very useful that only one person's location can control it. Due to the above I turn motion recording on and off manually. But this fails to work about 50% of the time, requiring another try after waiting for the request to time out.
2 ★Not a good app, each time I open it, it crashes. Delete, reload, try again reached camera to add and it froze. Try again, this time it works, so fickle, come on guys it's been a year since you update this, and I'm sure you received enough feedback to tell you its unstable. When eiil issue a new update to fix the instability?
1 ★Was very good to use. But when there were any movement alerts and you go to view activities it won't be on there for a while. And on the box it states free cloud service but you only get 1 years. Now I got a device I have to pay monthly for or it sits redundant. A lot of money wasted and trust lost in the company. I will have to got buy the Arlo cameras
1 ★terrible app, lags and that's with connection to the hub, takes ages to upload the footage once its detected something & when you try to view it, crashes or buffers. i wish I could send the camera and its useless app back customer services are a waste of time, they just talk you through the usual stuff, like disconnecting & restarting the app, done all the troubleshooting.. still rubbish..wouldn't recommend
1 ★Disappointing & tiresome. I''ve had two camera's for two years and I am fed up trying to get them working reliably. Had different internet connections after advice from Y-Cam. Not the case. One needing re-set nearly every other day, daytime live feed when its middle of the night, unresponsive, unreliable ap, failing to save preferences, daily failed recordings, poor resolution even in good lighting. Told to hard wire my wireless router!! Very poor service. Now camera won't record motion! Great!!
4 ★Good and fast app, you get notices that something moved in front of the camera almost instant, no more than 2min delay. On the negative side, not sure how long will still be free to use the camera, 1 or 3 years, after that, if you do not want to pay a monthly subscription the camera will be useless. Also, I will still receive notices when something moved in front of the camera, even when I was home.
