Master Password is a utility that makes you forget all your worries about passwords.It simply generates a password for each site from your unique secure master password and your name. This generated password will never be saved and therefore cannot be stolen. Additionally it can always be generated again without the need to backup the app's data.
Your secure master password never leaves your device but stays only in your brain. This keeps your other sites safe when another site was hacked again. Your other passwords stay safe and you just have to generate a new one for this very site.

The Master Password algorithm was made up by Maarten Billemont and is documented on his website www.masterpasswordapp.com. This Android App is an unofficial implementation of his algorithm. I am in no way affiliated with aforementioned website. You can find compatible implementations for other platforms on this site, too.

FAQ:
- Why are there different versions of the algorithm and which one should I use?
Bugfixes in the algorithm can result in different passwords being generated than before. To not have to change every password after such an update each password now has its own algorithm version. When adding new sites always the newest algorithm should be used.
- Are my passwords with older algorithms unsafe?
No. The bugfixes are essentially for compatibility with the different implemenations of the algorithm on different platforms (iOs, Android, Java, Javascript,...)
- My Passwords are different with 1.5, no matter what algorithm I choose.
Please export your sites and reinstall the app. After that import your sites. The problem should be solved after that. We are working on a solution without reinstallation.

Download Master Password APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK

5 ★This app isn't your typical password manager. Oh no, it goes WAY beyond that. All of the passwords are securely generated based solely on your master password (and your name), so there's absolutely no way for anyone to delete them. Let me emphasize that: NOBODY can delete your passwords, EVER. You could get a burner phone, never connect it to the Internet, install the app from a pendrive or something, generate your passwords, then dunk it in a glass of water, burn it, pulverize the ashes, and you'll STILL be able to recover your passwords AS LONG AS YOU REMEMBER YOUR MASTER PASSWORD. That last bit is EXTREMELY important. If you forget your master password, you CANNOT access your other passwords, so you better make it memorable. And strong. I suggest the Diceware method, though there are other ones. The only things that matter are the amount of possible passwords (if it's under a trillion, don't even bother), the memorability, and that it's NOT generated by a human. Humans are a terrible source of randomness. Anyway, it's a great app for those who know what they're doing and a decent one for everyone else. Until they get mad at the dev for "not wanting" to recover their passwords and threatening to sue.
5 ★The people who complain about this app in most cases just don't get how itworks. It GENERATES passwords based on an algorithm that uses your name,the account name (and you can make these anything you want) along with yourmaster password. This allows you to have different passwords for everyaccount that aren't stored anywhere (cloud or device), which is an inherentsecurity risk. *IMPORTANT* Check the permissions. This app only asks foraccess to fingerprint utility for fast access and storage, because you canstore your PWs on your device though I don't recommend that if you wanna bemore secure. There are other apps based on Martin Billemont's open sourcealgorithm that ask for network access. THERE IS NO GOOD REASON for an applike this to require that. So stick with this one or sideload Billemont'sMP app.
1 ★If you don't create a master password. You can login to any account using any user name or password . This is a major security flaw. How ever I like the apps concept.
