Seguridad Map permite la consulta y análisis de datos, de manera suficiente, veraz, oportuna y actualizada para la toma de decisiones en materia de seguridad, marginación y pobreza, que permite a los diferentes actores involucrados como lo son: la autoridad, investigadores, medios de comunicación, organizaciones no gubernamentales y ciudadanía en general, consultar, compartir e intercambiar información en diferentes coberturas del Estado de Jalisco, tales como son: Municipios, AGEBS y Colonias.La aplicación integra bases de datos de delitos de la Fiscalía General del Estado, información geográfica-estadística del Instituto de Información Estadística y Geográfica e Inegi, que se representan en mapas, gráficas y tablas.
Los usuarios pueden crear cuentas e iniciar sesión, lo que les permitirá hacer uso de la aplicación, modificar su perfil de usuarios, utilizar el botón de pánico del estado de Jalisco, así como descargar información en múltiples formatos como los CSV, XML, GeoJson, XML,ShapeFile, e imágenes de las gráficas que visualizan.
